PAC Benevolence Ministry

PAC Benevolence Ministry The benevolence ministry of Princeton Alliance Church. People do not remember what they are told about God's love during trying times.

The goal of He Cares, We Care is to move hurting families to a place of spiritual, emotional, financial and physical healing. They remember what they experience. Our prayer is that each life touched by He Cares, We Care will be a life that has been shown God's love and grace.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
New Jersey issued full November 2025 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to eligible households on the morning of Friday, November 7, following a federal court ruling.

SNAP recipients are encouraged to check their Families First EBT cards at NJFamiliesFirst.com or by calling (800) 997-3333 to confirm their balances and use their benefits as needed.

SNAP benefits loaded on your Families First EBT card prior to Oct. 31 remain available for use as well.

New Jersey continues to monitor developments and will continue to provide updates at NJSNAP.gov as needed. Additional assistance for SNAP households during the ongoing federal shutdown is available at NJ.gov/SNAPshutdown.

Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) and Child Support are not impacted at this time.

Continue to visit the DFD Emergency/Disaster page for ongoing updates on how the federal shutdown may impact these programs.

New Jersey's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, SNAP, provides food assistance to families with low incomes to help them buy groceries through a benefits card accepted in most food retail stores and some farmers markets. Eligibility is set by several factors, such as income and resources.

We rescue food from several places including Costco. Last week it was a little crazy! Crazier still was that after serving 59 families all that food and lots more walked out the door. We need your help to fill some big gaps:
Mayo
Tuna in oil
Garbanzo beans (chicken peas)
Instant oatmeal
Peaches
Mixed Vegetables

Please leave donations in the bin by the main office -thank you! Remember-nothing perishable in the bin.

Thank you to the employees of Croda, Inc. in Plainsboro. Their food drive provided lots of staples as well as specialty items our clients love such as barbecue sauces, marinades, and seasonings - just in time for picnic season! We'd also like to thank them on behalf of PAC for the donation of a brand new stackable washer/dryer so event linens and baptismal clothes can be washed right at the church. So generous!

The Pantry has been experiencing higher than normal donations of expired and opened /preused goods. While we depend on your generosity of donated goods we CANNOT use expired and opened food. In fact, we can be fined by the health inspector who will come in and randomly check dates. Open goods can attract bugs and rodents. As Boyd preached today, we want to give of our best, because even pantry donations are giving to God. So please check expiration dates before placing items in our collection box and toss items you have already opened rather than donating. As a reminder, please do not leave bags by The Pantry door or perishable items in collection boxes. They are not checked daily and perishable items will go bad. If you wish to donate something perishable, please contact the office so we can make sure someone is around to receive and refrigerate it immediately. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Our food drive just ended and we're grateful for everyone who participated. Unfortunately, the need never ends - and there are some really great deals in this week's Shoprite circular! If you didn't get a chance to support the drive or you're willing to do more, here's a great opportunity. Specifically, we can use cereal - there are deals here for $2-$3/box, spaghetti in various forms for .99 a box, solid white tuna IN OIL for just .99/can, 5 lb bags of flour (bleached or unbleached) $1.99/bag, 4 lb bags of sugar for $2.99/bag, and Tide detergent for $2.99/bottle. Other items we don't regularly carry but are often requested include paper towels and cake mixes with icing. Thanks in advance for keeping us in mind whenever you shop!!
