What a honor to share space with our neighbors from the Georgia Council for Recovery during our worship times this morning. Thank you Jasmine, Brian, and everyone working with compassion and care alongside so many peoples’ pathways to recovery.

As we read from Psalm 139 during our scripture reading this morning:

“Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
If I take the wings of the morning
and settle at the farthest limits of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me fast.
If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light around me become night’,
even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is as bright as the day,
for darkness is as light to you.”

What a joy it was to hear the heart of an artist on Sunday. We welcomed Michael Mallard to share his journey in our “This is My Story” series.

We are grateful for the work of Second Harvest of South Georgia, Inc. and the ways we have been able to serve our neighbors in .

Summer may be over, but the impact of this summer will stick with us. 💛

Over 9 weeks, our summer feeding program provided 157,248 meals and 24,626 snacks to kids across South Georgia.

Every meal represents a child who had something to eat when they needed it. Thank you to everyone who helped make that possible - we couldn’t do this work without you!
