On this Juneteenth, Bethel Presbyterian Church joins in honoring a legacy of resilience, faith, and freedom.
Today we come together to celebrate Juneteenth — a special day that reminds us of freedom, hope, and God’s love. On June 19, 1865, many African Americans in Texas finally heard the news that they were free. Even though the law had changed earlier, it took time for the news to reach everyone. This day is about remembering that moment and honoring the strength of those who waited and hoped.
At Bethel Presbyterian Church, we are thankful for the freedom God gives us. We remember the hard times of the past, but we also look forward with faith, love, and unity. Let us keep working together to make our world a better, kinder place.
May this Juneteenth be a moment of remembrance, restoration, and renewed commitment to building a more just and loving world.
