Plainfield Christian Science Church, Independent Each individual has a direct relationship with God, and must grow in that relationship. That is not a boast.

We are a diverse group of individuals who want to share with the world what we have found in Christian Science: healing, an enlivened sense of God with us, and peace. “In our age Christianity is again demonstrating the power of divine Principle, as it did over nineteen hundred years ago by healing the sick and triumphing over death. Jesus never taught that drugs, food, air, and exercise could make

a man healthy, or that they could destroy human life; nor did he illustrate these errors by his practice. He referred man’s harmony to Mind, not to practice, and never tried to make of none effect the sentence of God, which sealed God’s condemnation of sin, sickness, and death.” - Footsteps of Truth, page 232, in Science and Health with key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. We welcome all to join us in discovering the wonder that is God’s Word as delivered through The Bible and in Science and Health with key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The teachings of these books—as well as supporting works we have made available on our website—will change your life and show you how to live according to God’s Will, which is the most perfect and loving way that you could live. Plainfield Christian Science Church, Independent is currently the primary source of independent Christian Science. Over the years this church has felt God’s call to constantly, consistently deliver His Truth to as many people as we can. We take that call incredibly seriously, yet it is with incredible joy that we do our part in spreading His Word and helping the world to realize the Truth. By holding true to the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy and The Bible, we find that our church is left to show the world the beauty and wonder of His Will “brought to light by the evolutions of advancing thought, whereby we discern the power of Truth and Love to heal the sick.” - Prospectus, from Miscellaneous Writings by Mary Baker Eddy. This journey has led us though distancing ourselves from the many spurious forms of Christian Science. It has brought us to court to prove we have the right to use the name Christian Science. It has led us to reach out to the world in every way possible—which these days includes an increasingly complex array of media and the technologies requires—and we are delighted to do so because “The destruction of the many claims of mortal mind through Science, by which man can escape from sin and mortality, blesses the whole human family.” pg 103, Science and Health with key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
