A Glorious Celebration of Life — The Prince of the Messiah

Today, we gathered as a family of faith, from near, far, and wide, to celebrate the life, legacy, and service of our beloved Prince Hinds — the Prince of the Messiah.

It was truly a glorious and deeply moving celebration of a phenomenal servant of Jesus Christ. We came together not only to mourn his transition, but also to give thanks to God for the life he lived, the people he touched, and the service and dedication he offered to the Messiah and His Church.

To every member of the Messianic Family, I say from the depth of my heart: THANK YOU. Thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, love, commitment, and selflessness. Your presence, your labor, your prayers, and every contribution you made helped make today’s service a beautiful and memorable celebration of our brother and friend.

This is what it means to be a family. In moments of joy, we stand together; and in moments of sorrow, we hold one another even more closely.

May the Lord Almighty continue to bless you, strengthen you, protect you, and keep your families under His divine covering. May He give comfort to the Hinds family and grant eternal rest to His servant, Prince Hinds.

And may God continue to unite us as one phenomenal family of Christ the Messiah, so that together we may faithfully carry forward the mission and ministry He has entrusted into our hands.

Prince has transitioned, but his legacy of service continues to speak.

May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

ON CHANGE!

Change is never easy. It can be hard, difficult to understand, uncomfortable to embrace, and sometimes frightening to accept. Yet, change has a way of revealing the strength, power, resilience, and greatness within us that we never knew existed.

With determination, focus, perseverance, patience, consistency, confidence, and commitment, what initially feels like a burden can become the very pathway to becoming a better and stronger version of yourself.

So, when you find yourself going through change, do not be afraid of the process. Be positive. Trust yourself. Trust the journey. Keep moving forward.

Sometimes, the person you are becoming is hidden behind the changes you are struggling to accept today.

Embrace the change. Endure the process. Believe in yourself. Your greatness may be unfolding right before your eyes.

My Dear People and Friends of the Messiah,

Even in times of grief, we continue to celebrate the goodness, faithfulness, and unfailing love of God.

This Sunday, August 30, 2026, we will joyfully welcome home our phenomenal Senior Warden and Sailor of the Messiah, Nick, as we celebrate his homecoming following the successful completion of his United States Navy training and Advanced Training.

Nick worked exceptionally hard, endured the challenges, and persevered through the rigorous demands of his military training to reach this significant milestone. His achievement is indeed worthy of thanksgiving and great celebration.

I warmly encourage every member of the Messiah, together with your families, to join us for this special celebration. Please also extend this invitation to your friends, colleagues, coworkers, and neighbors, as we come together to welcome Nick home and honor the tremendous sacrifice, discipline, commitment, and perseverance he demonstrated throughout his military journey.

Our Mass of Thanksgiving begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Special Coffee Hour in his honor.

Let us continue to live out the admonition of the Apostle Paul:

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” — Romans 12:15

Though we are walking through a season of grief, we can still rejoice in the victories and blessings God gives us. Let us therefore come together as one family of the Messiah to give thanks, celebrate Nick, and glorify God for His faithfulness.

May the joy of the Lord continue to be our strength. Amen+

WITH DEEP SADNESS AND GRATITUDE TO GOD

With deep sadness, yet with gratitude to God for a life well lived in Christ Jesus our Messiah, I announce the sudden passing and transition into glory of our phenomenal member of the Messiah, PRINCE HINDS, at the age of 79.

Prince passed away suddenly in the early hours of Saturday, August 22, 2026. His unexpected departure has left us deeply shocked and saddened. It is a sobering reminder of the fragility and preciousness of life, and of our constant need to place our trust in God.

Following today’s Sunday Mass, we gathered as a church family to discuss preliminary funeral arrangements. At this time, the funeral service is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026, here at our church. Further details will be communicated as arrangements are finalized.

In the meantime, please make every effort to reach out to Prince’s beloved wife, Charmaine, to offer your prayers, condolences, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time.

I also encourage everyone to be present in church on Sunday, August 30, 2026, when we will gather once again as a Messianic Church family to continue our discussions and make further arrangements for Prince’s funeral.

Let us continue to surround the Hinds family with our prayers, love, and support as we commend our brother Prince into the loving arms of our Lord.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” — Psalm 116:15

May the soul of our brother Prince Hinds rest in perfect peace and rise in glory.
Amen.
