Are you looking for an opportunity to crack open your Bible and study with other people? Maybe you are new to the area and trying to connect? The Plain City Presbyterian Church is excited to begin a study of the book, Love One Another, a Bible Study on 1 John, that is being led by the book’s own author, Ricky LaVaughn. From his website, we learn, “Since he was young Ricky has enjoyed the craft of writing and creating books to share with the masses. His academic journey at The Ohio State University is as diverse as his writings, where he studied Chemical Engineering, Psychology, and Religious Studies, showcasing his intellectual versatility. Ricky is a motivational speaker, has taught writing seminars, has sung in choirs, has been a part of an independent film, and loves to travel… Ricky currently resides in Columbus, Ohio, embracing the divine purpose that God has prepared for his life.” Ricky has shared Sunday messages at our church several times and we found that he is a dynamic, inspiring speaker who communicates the Bible’s message in understandable, relatable ways. He is one of our favorite speakers. The Study is open to everyone. It will be on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 6:30 pm beginning on November 9 via ZOOM for about an hour. The book is available on Amazon. If you would like to participate, please email the church office at [email protected] with the words, “Bible Study” in the e-mail title and we’ll send the link information directly to you or you may call the church at 614-873-5011 with your request. Our congregation is excited to dig into this study and to also share it with you.

Just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who helped with this weekend's quilt show. We had 47 quilts ranging from 1854 to 2026 plus paintings and ceramics and wood carvings. If you shared your treasures, thank you and if you helped with setup, tear down, greeting or refreshments, thank you. We had about 60 visitors so we are also glad you stopped by and enjoyed all of this. Thank you to Aggi Springer for this best picture of the overall display and her Facebook posts helped get the word out.

Are you new to Plain City? The boxes are unpacked, but you've not connected with a church yet. Easter has already arriving and you feel a call to attend a church service. We at Plain City Presbyterian invite you to come join us in celebrating Easter this Sunday, April 5 at 10 am. Come at 9:30 am and enjoy coffee and treats and fellowship before we gather for worship. The Rev. Marion Redding Stenner will be leading our worship, and we will celebrate Communion at our open table. We may not have a huge stage and huge sound effects, but we've got open welcoming hands and hearts.
