Ladies of Charity Board Members were invited to tour the Catholic Social Services facility located at 5 Pethick Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, after its recent meeting. Elia Paris and Dagmar Montoilo led the tour and are also LOC Board members. Dagmar explained the "peas in a pod" artwork in her office and its parallels across cultures describing close relationships identical traits and the truths about human connection and shared experiences and shared experiences. Elia speaks several languages and enjoys working within the Immigration Services Program in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Ladies of Charity Board Member Dagmar Montolio works for Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Scranton and is instrumental in the Parents as Teachers Program in the Wilkes Barre office. The program was recently mentioned in The Citizen Voice newspaper.
Wilkes-Barre City Mayor George C. Brown presented a proclamation to Catholic Social Services of Wilkes-Barre in recognition of their new program, Parents as Teachers, which is designed to empower families in Luzerne County by providing resources and support for early childhood development.
