Last night, August 6, amateur astronomers and stargazers gathered at White Haven Memorial Park to enjoy the beautiful August night sky and its many constellations.

White Haven is proud to partner with The Bird House to bring these educational and enjoyable outdoor programs to our community.

Goats have returned!! We are proud to announce, for its second year, a unique and environmentally responsible partnership with Kaizen Ridge Farm to support sustainable land management practices this summer. In an effort to preserve the Park's natural beauty and protect its wildlife habitats, a herd of goats has been brought in to assist with seasonal grounds maintenance.

Our furry friends arrived on Saturday August 1st and will be with us until Saturday August 8th. The goats will spend their days clearing undesirable brush and invasive species such as poison ivy. Their natural grazing offers an effective, chemical-free alternative to traditional landscaping methods.

This innovative initiative supports White Haven Memorial Park's ongoing commitment to ecological stewardship and its designation as a Certified Audubon Sanctuary.

"We are always looking for the best options to care for our wildlife and natural spaces," said JudieLynn Nassar McAvinney, President and CEO of White Haven Memorial Park. "We are again pleased to partner with Kaizen Ridge Farms allowing us to maintain the land in a sustainable, environmentally conscious way that aligns with our mission."

Visitors to the Park during this week may have the chance to see the goats in action as they help naturally restore and maintain the landscape.
