🔥 Satan isn’t God’s equal—he’s on a leash!

Is evil really in control?

We end this week where Paul closes his great defense of the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15:58:

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

Last Sunday, we were left with a charge that should ring in our ears all weekend long: We hold that message of hope. Don't bury it.

In a world that feels like it is collapsing, the darkness wants you to believe that standing for truth is pointless. But God promises that no prayer prayed in faith, no witness boldly spoken, and no stand taken for righteousness is ever wasted.

Jesus Christ has conquered sin, death, and hell! The tomb is empty, the King is on the throne, and His victory is eternally secure.

Stay the course, Church. Hold the line, shine the light, and do the work until He comes!

Reflect Today: Will you commit today to stand steadfast and unashamed for the Gospel?

Prayer: Father, make us steadfast and immovable. Give us the courage to hold the line and never bury the message of hope You have entrusted to us. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:58 | 2 Corinthians 5:20

Because there is absolute hope in Jesus Christ, we arrive at the central question Pastor Marty posed to us on Sunday: Where has the Church been?

The world is entirely responsible for its own rebellion, but we as believers must ask ourselves hard questions. Have we been standing as bold, uncompromising ambassadors of our King? Or have we allowed ourselves to become distracted—enamored by the cheap baubles and trivial entertainments of a passing world while eternity hangs in the balance?

The Church didn't create the darkness, but we were commanded to be the light that pierces it. If a spiritually dead world has no capacity to seek God on its own, WE ARE THE CONNECTION THAT POINTS THEM TO JESUS CHRIST!
We hold the message of His death, burial, and resurrection. We cannot afford to sit passively in the pews lamenting our culture while ignoring our calling.

If Paul had stopped writing at Romans chapter 1, the picture would be pitch black. If he had stopped at chapter 3, all humanity would stand tight-lipped and guilty before a holy God.

BUT PRAISE GOD, ROMANS DOESN'T END IN CHAPTER 1!

As we walked through the arc of Romans on Sunday, we saw that the very same book that reveals the severe diagnosis unveils the absolute cure:

In Romans 3: We find Justification—righteousness provided through the precious blood of Christ!
In Romans 5: We find Reconciliation—that while we were still sinners and enemies, Christ died for us!
In Romans 8: We find No Condemnation—a victory so secure that nothing can separate us from God's love!
Even in Psalm 81, while judgment was active against a rebellious Israel, God cried out: "Oh, that My people would listen to Me!" The doorway of repentance remains open. There IS hope in Jesus Christ!
