Seed into our 20/20 vision!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This message is being sent to all our friends and family. Many don’t know, but this year as we head toward 2020, we are operating and completing our 20/20 vision plan here at the Empowerment Church. To conclude this year, our goal is to purchase our property that we worship at. As we come to a close on this month, we are looking to raise $20,000 with the help of our friends and family.

So this is how you help: We are asking you to give to match our $20 seed. It is our hope we can get 20 friends to match our $20 seeds each as we move toward our goal. That’s it! There’s a few ways to give. See graphic!

The Extra M1le of Encouragement "Where's Your Mind" One of the main ingredients of successfully walking the path you should be on toward the place of triumph, is to keep your mind on the spiritual things. What has caused us to fail in life, was that we often put more focus on the things that were temporary, rather than the things that were eternal. When getting caught up in the temporary, you often miss how it plays a part in the outcome of your eternal. Everything that fades away from you is not always bad. Many of times you have to lose, to gain.

In Romans 8, it speaks in verse 5 that those who are after the flesh, mind the things of the flesh. The flesh is temporary...if you mind the things that are temporary, you live in what is temporary. God is calling us forth to embrace our eternal status in Him. There are some things in the spirit, that those trials of the flesh cannot dictate. Keep your press in what's eternal, and know that greater things are ahead.

“To What Purpose is This Waste?”

This question was asked in our text this morning, when the disciples became indignant with the women who came with her alabaster box. An expensive perfume was poured out upon the body of Jesus, and to those who witnessed it, felt as if it was a waste of a good thing. How many times have we ever been considered a "waste." People look at us, and decide, based off our decision, and the way we chose /choose to live our life, that we are simply a waste. They see our potential, but because we have not lived up to their standards and expectations, we are deemed purposeless and a waste. The world sees it as we are wasting our lives on this God that many proclaim, and that many don't know. I say to you, have confidence in this new area of your life. Be not threatened by the enemy as he attacks your character. Keep pouring yourself out to God. In the midst of you pouring yourself out to God, know that friends will be lost, crowds will become old, and those who were close to you, will begin to separate themselves from you. You will become just like the ointment; upon the body of God. Willing to sacrifice itself, for the greater good of the Lord, but considered a waste to so many. Be confident in what you do for Him. Your sacrifice is not a waste, your praise is not a waste, your worship is not a waste, but it is a sweet scent to God's nostrils. Be encouraged, we may be looked at by so many, as a wasteful cause, but behold, our testimony will forever be in the world's thoughts

THE EXTRA MILE OF ENCOURAGMENT: Good morning to you all, I pray your week has been as awesome as mine. Many of us have battles that we face daily. We often find ourselves in a constant battle within ourselves. We go back and forth with ourselves over the choices we have made, about the life that we live, or even overcoming life's tragedies that we have faced. This internal struggle can not be fought physically, but has become a mental war. Our mind tends to reflect on the negative things in our life, or continually produces the image of you as you see yourself. In order to overcome this struggle, you have to win the war in the mind. In 2 Corinthians chapter 10, it says "casting down imaginations,...and bringing into captivity every thought..." We have to force our minds to submit to Christ, allowing our faith in Him to become activated. TODAYS READ: 2 Corinthians 10:1-5; Luke 8:43-48
