“For we [believers will be called to account and] must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, so that each one may be repaid for what has been done in the body, whether good or bad [that is, each will be held responsible for his actions, purposes, goals, motives—the use or misuse of his time, opportunities and abilities].”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory and majesty and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. [Rev 20:4-6] All the nations will be gathered before Him [for judgment]; and He will separate them from one another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats; [Ezek 34:17] and He will put the sheep on His right [the place of honor], and the goats on His left [the place of rejection].

“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of Elohim, appointed to eternal salvation], inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

“Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Leave Me, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels (demons);

Then these [unbelieving people] will go away into eternal (unending) punishment, but those who are righteous and in right standing with Elohim [will go, by His remarkable grace] into eternal (unending) life.” [Dan 12:2]”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭31‬-‭34‬, ‭41‬, ‭46‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The day you were baptized into the Body of Yahshua, who you are became who you were. You went down into a watery grave and left the mighty me behind. You were resurrected into newness of life, a brand new creation. The old way of life is gone, leave it all behind and walk in the newness of life!

Forgetful and Focused

“Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead…” Philippians 3:13

Have you ever tried to run forward while looking backward? If so, you likely fell down or bumped into something. One of the first lessons we learn as children is to always watch where we are going. It’s dangerous not to. The same is true spiritually.

While our eyes cannot see Yahshua, our hearts can. The problem is that our minds try to hijack our hearts, pulling us towards past mistakes, disappointments, betrayals and failed attempts. The flesh whispers, “What’s the use?” into the ears of the heart, tempting us to give up and settle for a mediocre and ineffective relationship with Yahshua …robbing us of the abundant life that is ours in Him.

But Yahweh reminds us through Paul’s letter to the Philippians that giving up is not an option. Have we failed in the past? Of course we have. We have messed up and broken promises and said one thing and done another…but that doesn’t have to be the end of the story. We have a risen Savior who has given us the power and the opportunity to repent and do things differently. He became sin and tasted death for us, conquering both when He rose from the grave. In Him there is always hope!

“Repent” means to turn from one thing to another…from sin to Yahshua Messiah. Paul says he forgets the past and strains towards the future. If you are stuck in the past, it is time to turn the eyes of your heart forward and let go in faith. Focus on Yahweh’s goodness and grace. If there is unconfessed sin in your past, repent and turn to Yahshua.

I truly believe that if we could see into the spiritual realm…if we could see what lies ahead for us in Yahshua , forgetting the past and focusing on the prize would not be hard at all. But since we cannot see with physical eyes, we must trust the Word of Yahweh and the promises contained in it. We don’t have to fear the past or the future. After all, we are running in, through, for, and towards the One who holds all things together.

No Worries

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34

"Do not worry…” Yahshua's words are easier said than done, aren’t they? It’s hard to even imagine a life completely free from all worry. Whether it’s big, life-altering circumstances or the daily nuisances of life, we all struggle with worry. Maybe that is why Yahshua in the first sermon He ever delivered, spent a significant portion of His time on this very subject.

The word “worry” in this section of The Sermon on the Mount is actually translated as “anxious.” It literally means, “to divide the mind.” Isn’t that a great mental picture? Worry divides the focus of our minds. It takes our attention from what is utmost, and scatters it here and there, resulting in a complete lack of direction if we aren’t careful.

So how do we guard against a divided mind? Yahshua's answer was clear: “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness…” (Matthew 6:33). So maybe the question isn’t, “How do I keep from worrying?” Maybe a more fruitful approach is, “What am I seeking?” Nothing focuses the mind like the Holy Spirit. He puts our lives into perspective, pulling out the weeds of this world that can choke out the fruit of the Spirit.

As a child of The Most High, we have the incredible privilege of coming to Him in prayer. This sacred time with Him is our opportunity to lay all of our burdens at His feet. The problem is, we tend to lay them there, and then pick them back up. Are we more capable of solving problems than He? Have we more resources? More knowledge? More wisdom? More love? Of course not! So we must lay them down in sincere faith, and leave them there in unwavering trust.

Where are your burdens? Are they dividing your mind - distracting you and robbing you of joyful living? Or, are they where they belong – in the capable hands of Your loving, sovereign Elohim!

We are living in a time when idolatry and blasphemy are at their worst, especially when it comes to today's artists and celebrities.... People literally worship them.... The sad thing is many professed Christians are among them....

They know all the lyrics to these songs that glorify everything that the Bible speaks against but don't know the Bible! They feast on the works of darkness but claim to be lovers of Yahshua, the Light of the World. They get highly offended when you attack their idols but aren't the least bit offended when their idols attack their "God".... It's just entertainment, they say.....

But have they considered the source.... Does it bring Glory to Yahweh, does it edify the Spirit of Yahweh within you, does it draw you closer to Him.... Of course not, because it's not of Him!

We need to wake up and be about our Father's business, we need to be the representation of Yahshua that this generation so desperately needs....

Now is the time, today is the day.... Cast off the unfruitful works of darkness and walk in His marvelous Light!

Oh, and so you know... I am not speaking to anyone in particular.... If you feel uncomfortable reading this it may be the Holy Spirit convicting you... Don't shoot the messenger, lol!

As believers we are pressured to be tolerant of sin and those that practice sin but we must stand on the Word of Yahweh. The Word of Yahweh is absolute truth and belief is not necessary for it to remain absolute truth. We must shine the Light of the Word into the darkness of this world. Love people enough to tell them the truth because though many wink at their bad behavior, Yahweh is not winking... one day you will stand before Him to be judged.

Today’s devotion

What Should We Tolerate?

“Therefore, take up the full armor of Yahweh, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, stand firm.” Ephesians 6:13

Bible Believers are often characterized as being intolerant. It’s a negative word that separates people, and is of undesirable character. Nobody wants to be known as intolerant. In modern culture, tolerance is a measure of our ability to stay quiet against that which we do not accept as right. It’s accepting the wrongs of others, or even ourselves, in order to be inclusive of others’ beliefs.

Tolerance, however, is not a goal. More often than not, it masks complacency toward that which we should not accept.

“Tolerance applies only to persons, but never to truth… or principles. About these things we must be intolerant…. Right is right if nobody is right and wrong is wrong if everybody is wrong. In this day and age, we need… not a Church that is right when the world is right, but a Church that is right when the world is wrong.” - Bishop Sheen

These words still ring true today. Tolerance is not to be applied to truth or principles. In what is right or wrong, we must hold to the Bible’s unerring standard. In the case where tolerance requires us to be silent of wrong, it is a muzzle, not an instrument of societal unity.

There is no room for tolerance in the chemical laboratory. Formulas must be followed rigorously when mixing chemicals together or you may blow up the facility. There is no room for tolerance in mathematics. Whether you are an engineer at NASA or an architect of a building, the calculus and trigonometry had better be exactly right or some astronaut may not get back and the building may collapse. There is no room for tolerance in sports. Every game is to be played according to the rules and everybody is to play by the rules.

Yet, we are told that when it comes to the great moral issues of our day we ought to be tolerant. Make no apologies, whether we are speaking about salvation or sexuality, marriage or morality, disparity or poverty, or what is right and what is wrong. The Word is not tolerance; the Word is truth. Let the Word of Yahweh be your guide. Be gentle, helpful, humble, and thoughtful. But on issues of faith, right and wrong, don’t be tolerant.

As a Child of The Most High, our sole purpose in this life is to know Yahweh and to make Him known! In that, He is glorified... we must be passionate in our purpose...

Zealous

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving Yahweh.” Romans 12:11

The following quote is from J.C. Ryle, a 19th century pastor and theologian:

“A zealous man in religion is preeminently a man of one thing. It is not enough to say he is earnest, hearty, uncompromising, wholehearted, fervent in spirit. He only sees one thing, he cares for one thing, he lives for one thing, he is swallowed up in one thing; and that one thing is to please Yahweh. Whether he lives, or whether he dies, whether he has health, or whether he has sickness, whether he is rich, or whether he is poor, whether he pleases man, or whether he gives offense, whether he is thought wise, or whether he is thought foolish, whether he gets blame, or whether he gets praise, whether he gets honor, or whether he gets shame, for all this the zealous man cares nothing at all. He burns for one thing; and that one thing is to please Yahweh, and to advance Yahweh’s glory. If he is consumed in the very burning, he cares not for it; he is content. He feels that, like a lamp, he is made to burn; and if consumed in burning, he has but done the work for which Yahweh appointed him.”

I would like for you to ponder a question today: What if every believer was this zealous to please Yahweh? Think of the impact the Church would make among the lost if our one aim were to accomplish Yahweh’s will on this earth. What would happen if as believers our focus shifted from knowing what we don’t know to obeying what we do know?

While this goal may seem out of our control, one thing is within our grasp, and that is our own zeal. So let me rephrase my question: What if you were this zealous to please Yahweh? Are there things in your life that are keeping you from doing Yahweh’s will? Perhaps there are areas that you need to surrender to Him in faith. What are you waiting for? There is nothing more satisfying than pleasing Yahweh. And while it may not always be easy to do so, His grace is more than enough to carry us through whatever struggles His will might bring our way.

Do you trust Yahshua enough to fully surrender to Him? That is the beginning of a life that is zealous to please Him. It is, in fact, the beginning, middle, and end. Daily surrender to Yahweh, for Yahweh, and through Yahweh will bring more peace and satisfaction than anything we might ever have to give up.

My prayer is that we will be as zealous to DO Yahweh’s will, as we are to know His will.

Scripture says “He who the son sets free is free indeed” but free from what? Many mistakenly believe that it is freedom to do whatever you want... that is not the case. He sets us free from the penalty of our sin, which is death. He frees us from the bo***ge of this world so that we may fulfill our purpose in Him. We are freed to worship Him! So the question is, why are you dying when Yahshua made a way for you to live.... and to live eternally?

Today’s devotion

Why There is Freedom in Truth

“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36

The Bible tells us that when we know Yahshua then we will know Truth, and that Truth will set us free. The reality is that all of us need to be set free from something. Maybe it’s pride, or bitterness, or guilt. Maybe you need to be set free from a sin that is eating away at you, day after day. The longer we sin, the longer we hold on to the results of sin. The longer we struggle with the results of sin, the more trapped we feel and imprisoned we become. It is a vicious cycle.

We can long for things we believe will set us free…a new job, a new relationship, a different social status…something we can buy, or build, or become. Freedom for many of us becomes the answer—and we define it simply as escaping the way things are to the way things may be, in the hope that a new reality will in some way be better than this one.

The truth, however, is that real freedom is only found in Yahshua. His Truth is absolute. The word absolute comes from the word solvere, meaning, “to set free.” On the cross, Yahshua died for all of our sins. When we surrender our lives to Him, those sins are forgiven. We are free from them. Absolutely. The Truth that Yahshua died for our sins, rose again three days later, and invites us to surrender our lives to Him and join His mission on earth and His glory in heaven is absolute Truth.

Do you feel imprisoned? Burdened? Trapped and unable to bear the weight of living life by your own ways and rules? Do you long for something different—to be free of yourself and your reality now and to join something better? The answer is Yahshua. This is why there is freedom in truth – absolute truth that will set you free, for today, and for eternity.

Free your mind and the rest will follow!
