Channeling my best Wayne’s World energy. “We’re not worthy… we’re not worthy” while showing off this badge like I am TOTALLY worthy. 🙌

God took us from spectator to “course vehicle access.” I’m one headset away from directing traffic and rubbing elbows with the marathon workers.

Grateful for the opportunity to be part of something bigger than the race. Huge thank you to 412 Food Rescue and DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon for partnering with us.

We are so grateful for another beautiful evening of serving our community.

We were able to provide our guests with a wonderful meal prepared by the parishioners of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish of Wexford.
Michelle and the Essentials Team had tons of new socks, underwear and toiletries for everyone and Our Hope Team, (Kirkland, Peter and Trace) were available for prayer and conversation. Rob provided a beautiful message of encouragement through his Food for Thought.

And thank you to CNX Foundation for making this mission possible.

Last Tuesday night at Outreached Arms, we had the privilege of welcoming more than 100 guests for a warm, delicious and nutritious meal. Chef Jeremy, along with Malik prepared a wonderful dinner of chicken and vegetables over rice lightly sprinkled with soy sauce, served with a fresh tossed salad, bread and desserts generously provided by LaGourmandine
Bakery.

But that wasn’t all, each of our guests also received a special treat of Girl Scout cookies, kindly donated once again this year by Jen Fleming and her daughter,Lex. Thank you Jen and Lex!

We are also incredibly grateful to CNX Foundation for their generous grant, which helps us to make it possible to serve meals to our guests every Tuesday night

To all of our volunteers donors and supporters - thank you. Because of you, we are able to provide not only food, but also hope, kindness, and community to our neighbors in need.

A Street Encounter That Mattered

Tim is staying on the streets.

He told us life had been tough. He said he was struggling. Then he ran into Kirkland.

Kirkland did not walk past him. He stepped in.
He got Tim a belt and a suitcase. He connected him with Outreached Arms.

Because of the CNX Foundation, we met Tim with more than words. Your financial support and resources put real help in his hands.

Tim put on a jacket CNX provided and said, “It’s been a while since I sweated.”

We loaded him up with:
• Backpack
• Blankets
• Sleeping bag
• Winter coat and warm layers
• Boots and shoes
• Gloves and cold weather essentials
• Food and supplies for the next steps

Every Tuesday night, we see it again and again: when a community shows up, Hope shows up also.

Chef Jeremy prepared a warm nutritious meal for approximately 90 guests. It was the men’s group from Northway Christian Community Church, North Allegheny Rotary Club and NECA, National Electrical Contractors Association and our dedicated core volunteers that made it all possible. They served the meals, gave out toiletries, winter clothing, blankets, coats and shoes. And of course, our meals always end with desserts, which were provided last by Cakes for Care and La Gourmandine Bakery.

We will take your non-winning game cups. We will even take winning cups.

Every Tuesday night, we serve about 150 people in downtown Pittsburgh. We go through a lot of cups fast. Your extra cups help us keep serving.

How to help.
• Save your Chick-fil-A cups instead of tossing them
• Bring them to us on Tuesday night
• Or message us to set up a drop-off
