There was SO MUCH LOVE today as the ELPC family gathered to march in the Pride Parade and share the good news with the thousands of people lining the parade route. Here are just a few of the sights along the way. Thanks to our amazing leader Wil Forrest, our three pastors, staff members, and parishioners and friends who came out today to proclaim loud and proud that God is love and God loves YOU! Please share your pictures from today and tag us.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT
Faith isn’t a test you have to pass before you walk through the door.
You don’t need certainty. You don’t need answers.
Just bring your questions, your story, and yourself.
At ELPC, curiosity is welcome—and so are you.

PRIDE
The rainbow banners hanging from the triforium in the sanctuary are based on the Philadelphia Pride Flag created in 2017. For an explanation of this flag and what the colors represent: https://midsouthpride.org/flag/philadelphia-pride-flag/
Red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, blue for harmony, and purple for spirit. The black and brown stripes were added to highlight the experiences and struggles of LGBTQ+ people of color, emphasizing the importance of racial inclusivity within the community.

Several people have asked recently how we move the organ console from behind the pulpit to the center of the chancel for concerts. Since the “home position” of the console is up a level from the chancel floor, a 4-section ramp is built to slowly roll the console down and back up again. Since this ramp has to support the weight of the console, the pieces require some heavy lifting! The modesty rail between the console and the chairs where the pastors sit is clamped in place. When unclamped this rail is moved onto two carts to roll out of the way to make room to build the ramp. It takes about 30 minutes for three people to complete the entire process.
