Commonwealth has been in transition for the last few months as we’ve gotten used to a one-pastor model and the new capacity that holds. We’ve been sensing that we’re arriving somewhere new though… Where is that? Who are we now? Join us for a conversation Wednesday evening at 6PM where we will figure out who this new Commonwealth is and how we are to be that together in the world. Pack a dinner and bring your honest reflections— all are welcome to participate, whether we saw you yesterday or a few months ago! We need all your voices in the room! Join Commonwealth in the streets! In light of our study of the Barmen Declaration this week, we’re looking for ways to make change. We’ll be marching alongside our neighbors to demand that 🧊 LEAVE our communities! Details and rationale are here:

Pittsburgh says, “ICE Out!” Indivisible Pittsburgh and a coalition of Pittsburgh-based organizations know that Pittsburghers want to stand with the rule of law, our neighbors in Minnesota, and beyond. We are asking you to join us in a spirit of resolution as we demand that ICE stop terrorizing OUR neighbors and communities across this nation.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) have killed 11 people so far, including two American citizens in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At least 37 people have died in ICE custody. These killings are part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
