Cathy Battle is the Executive Director of Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank (WPADB), a nonprofit organization serving 8 counties in Western Pennsylvania by providing diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies through 70 partner organizations and 25 schools.

While working full-time as a respiratory therapist (2012-2020), Battle built WPADB into a successful nonprofit operation. She expanded services to include period and incontinence products and launched the Period Advocacy Project, empowering young people to advocate for themselves.

Last year, the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank distributed 3 million diapers and helped 18,000 families in eight Western PA counties.

She is a mentor, connector, and champion for women. Because of her investment in staff, peers, and community members, she earned the 2024 ATHENA Award.
