Believing we are called together by God's love through Jesus Christ, our mission as the First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood is to love God, to love each other, and to love our neighbors. At FPCE, we seek to love God through vibrant, accessible worship in a traditional yet relaxed style. Once per month, we offer an Emerging Worship service that mixes the ancient, traditional, and modern practice

s and songs. We seek to love each other through being present for one another through all of life's hurdles and changes. We host various events to help us do this: coffee hour, meals, prayer, study groups, and special care in times of need. We love our neighbors through participating in community events as well as hosting community events. Our building has become a bit of a community center in that we have events and groups meeting here almost every day of the year! COMMUNITY DINNER INDOORS TONIGHT:
Wednesday, September 2
Due to the expected heat and possible rain, tonight's community dinner will be held in the Social Room beginning at 6:00pm.

A NOTE ABOUT PARKING:
There is no parking between the signs along the curbs from the corner of E. Swissvale to the side door so that people in the marked spots are able to back out safely. We have secured parking from WPSD from 5-8PM in their lot leading in and out directly across from the church. If our FPCE members could park in the WPSD lot or in front of the church on E. Swissvale (where the sign says "no parking unless church activity"), hopefully we will have enough spaces to accommodate all of the events happening - the dinner, library activities, Mission Trip meeting, and Milepost6 rehearsal.

FPCE is again participating in the Pittsburgh East CROP Hunger Walk on October 11. This year's goal for the East End is to raise $50,000 for hunger relief around the world and locally, with 25% of the funds going to support Wilkinsburg Community Ministry's efforts. Consider either joining or donating to the FPCE team!
