Tuesday, September 9
The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated on September 8th each year, exactly nine months after the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th, which honors Mary's conception without original sin.

In the Church calendar, the feast is considered a solemnity in Catholicism or a great feast in the Orthodox tradition, reflecting the profound reverence for Mary as the Theotokos (Mother of God). Liturgical celebrations typically include Mass, Vespers, processions, hymns, and prayers dedicated to her, celebrating her birth as the beginning of God’s preparation for the Incarnation.

At the Saint Sharbel Spiritual Life Center, we have relic of The House of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You are welcome to stop in and venerate all of the relics, stop and take a moment for quiet prayer and reflection in our chapel, and peruse the volumes in our library.
