We asked the kids tonight about how they reacted when confronted with violence. This young man TJ talked about the time he was confronted with a kid who first was joking around and then pulled a knife out on him. He said he told the kid he didn’t want anything to do with it. He also talked about how a kid tried to force him to v**e and when he didn’t the kid made fun of him. Several of the kids talked about their stories and making good decisions. We told them the best decision they could make is letting Christ guide them and we prayed with hem after to accept Christ. It was a great night.

We had this delicious cake donated to us tonight. The baker’s name is Valecia Salter and she has donated homemade cakes and cupcakes she made to us several times now. They are delicious and beautifully decorated. If you want her contact info please ask.

The rec center asked us to pick up a
second night at the rec center. The director gave us Wednesday nights too now. He told us a lot of the kids families are struggling with food because of high prices. We gave them a hard lesson tonight. Some of them were being disrespectful and we told them we aren’t going to tolerate it. They choose a life that leads to hell or follow Christ and allow Him to guide your life. Sometimes tough love is needed.

This beautiful young lady Keira read a poem. Mike brought a great message about keeping with good company. Renee read Proverbs 18:24. We had pizza, and ice cream tonight. It was a great night praise God!

Great time tonight. One of the kids said to Mike, “You mean you were in jail!”. We made it a point that Christ changed his heart and he became a new creation because of that. Kids finally finished off the last of the baked goods from our friends at Cecil Alliance Church. Praise God!

We had a blessed night tonight. Our friends at Cecil Alliance Church made us a delicious meal that included homemade pierogies and delicious baked goods for dessert. Thank you Chuck, Vee, Beth, Margaret, and Rose. You blessed us in a big way. Mike gave a great message and we continue to build strong relationships . God is good.

We celebrated Mike’s birthday tonight. The kids prayed for him and sang Happy Birthday! It was a blessing to see how much they love him.

Mike followed up last week’s lesson upon addiction again this week. Kids had a lot of questions and feedback. There was a lot of honest give and take. Mike showed them how the Bible says those are things that you should not do. He explained also the damage brought physically, mentally, and spiritually. It was a strong uncompromising word. I’m so proud of Mike. He was sick and the Lord just used him in a mighty way. Great man of God. These kids have a wonderful example in him how the Lord changes lives. Wonderful husband, father, and friend.
