🌈The Courage to Become Who You Truly Are

Sometimes, q***r joy begins with grief. We grieve the version of ourselves others tried to create—the life shaped by expectations, fear, shame, or the belief that we had to hide who God created us to be.

But grief is not the end of the story.

There comes a moment when we stop apologizing for existing and start celebrating the life that is true. A life where we can love honestly, worship freely, and finally see ourselves as worthy of joy.

God did not call us to live someone else's life.

You are not a mistake to be corrected. You are a life to be celebrated. 🌈❤️

We encourage all congregations in Brookline to join us in welcoming ALL PEOPLE (No exceptions) as God’s beloved children. Not in secret… but openly affirming of LGBTQ+ folx. God’s Love is always greater than human prejudice.

When Our Theology Hurts People

There comes a point when we have to ask ourselves: What if the theology we are defending is causing people to hate the very person God created them to be?

When our words cause LGBTQ+ people to deny their sexual orientation, suppress their identity, or believe they are fundamentally broken, we need to take a hard look at what we are teaching.

Every q***r person bears the image of God. 🌈✝️

If our theology teaches us to reject that image in our neighbor, perhaps the problem isn't God's creation. Perhaps it's our theology.

Jesus called us to love our neighbors—not to make them ashamed of who they are.

Faith should never require someone to hate themselves.
