During her state of the conference report, our Transitional Conference Minister, Rev.Dr. Carrie Call gently reminded us that Keystone is just 5 months old, but we’ve accomplished some major successes like, merged the historical offices, held a conference-wide Clergy Convocation, and pulled off this massive first annual conference. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Rev. David Ackerman presented Rev. Dave Mears with a check generously funded by compassionate UCC churches and individuals, to support the rebirth of Trinity UCC Dorseyville's sanctuary following a catastrophic fire.

I was moved by Rev. Ackerman’s words, “this is why being a part of the conference matters”.

It’s not about oversight, it’s a covenant. We’re all in this together.
