St. George Church Preservation Society PA nonprofit, IRS 501(c)(3) The St. George Church Preservation Society was founded by a group of parishioners to support efforts to keep St. The former St.

George Church open and available as a Catholic sacred space. George Church (called St. John Vianney since 2005) was built in 1910 by the parish of German immigrants and has been a cornerstone of Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood over the years. We are reaching out to parishioners, alumni, family, friends of German heritage and our Allentown neighbors. In the community, around the country and beyond, all of us together are the legacy of St. George Church.
