No matter how deep the hole you're in, Jesus will dig deeper to pull you out. He's still making men and women alive, bringing resurrection life to those stuck in sin or circumstances. If you feel dead or suffocating, the good news is Jesus will come to you. Invite Him in.

Today, we introduce you to Rev. Peter Chace, who serves as an Assistant Pastor and Bible teacher here at BHCA.

Peter shared a fun and little-known fact about himself: He once lived in the Grand Canyon for 3 months!

A meaningful scripture verse for Peter is Psalm 34:8-10: “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”

Education and Christian formation both require a payment: your time. Don't let it slip away. Embrace your corner, redeem your moments, and discover more about God, yourself, and your purpose.

God sometimes places us in difficult situations, like Saul in the desert, to build spiritual resistance. This prepares us to face opposition effectively for His Kingdom, ensuring we stand strong and don't falter at the first sign of challenges.

Askesis: self-discipline and rigor attained through limitation—God deprives us of some things to grant blessings of transformation. Accepting boundaries is key to transformation in Christ.

Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Karen Kress, our 5th–8th grade Math and English teacher here at BHCA.
When she’s not in the classroom, Karen loves staying active and exploring the world. An avid volleyball player, she also has a passion for travel. “One of my favorite countries I’ve visited is Thailand,” she shares.
A verse that continues to hold deep meaning in Karen’s life is her confirmation verse, Isaiah 53:5,
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
She reflects, “It might seem like a harsh verse at first, but the perspective it gives on the incredible love Christ has for us—and the sacrifice He made—is truly life-changing.”

Good afternoon.

As we approach America’s 250th birthday this July Fourth, I’d like to address the subject of faith and freedom in this report, my last until September.

Despite all the supposedly intractable problems we face as a country, I believe the United States has a bright future.

In fact, I believe we’re on the cusp of a new American renaissance. Before exploring why I think that, I’d first like to explain how I came to love this country. I had to leave America to learn that I loved it.
