Salvation Army Angel Tree Program - Western PA is another program we support through the Fabric Fair.

Angel Tree program:

The Salvation Army of Western Pennsylvania wants to ensure everyone feels the special joy surrounding the Christmas season. This is why The Salvation Army provides thousands of children and individuals with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, winter coats, clothing, toys and gifts at this time of year.

One of the programs we use to accomplish the giving of toys and gifts as well as providing hope and Christmas joy to individuals and families in need is The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.

Each year, children create wish lists that are shared with hundreds of companies, small businesses, churches and individuals. Across 28 counties in Western Pa., gifts and toys are collected and sorted by hundreds of volunteers at various Salvation Army locations, then given to families to put under the tree for Christmas day. Last season, The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division Angel Tree Program distributed more than 100,000 toys to children.

The Salvation Army Camp Allegheny

Camp Allegheny:
Each year, hundreds of children ages 6-12 from across Western Pennsylvania have the chance to attend a week at The Salvation Army’s Camp Allegheny. The 110-acre camp, located along Slippery Rock Creek in Ellwood City, is accredited by the American Camp Association.

Activities include arts and crafts, music development, swimming, river tubing, sports and Christian education.
Camp Allegheny has been in existence since 1947.
