CAN WE CORRECT ONE ANOTHER WITHOUT CONDEMNING ONE ANOTHER?

Last Wednesday at Destiny School of Ministry, we explored a powerful question: What does the Bible really teach about judgment?

As we continue our study, The Life, Lessons & Teachings of the Apostle Paul, we're discovering how Paul's letters challenge us to examine our lives, strengthen our relationships, and grow together as the Body of Christ.

One powerful reminder from our last discussion:

WE MAY NOT HAVE THE SAME MOTHER, BUT WE HAVE THE SAME FATHER. 🙌🏾

And that makes you my brother. That makes you my sister.

In Sunday's message, Pastor Michael Smith reminded us that when we are born again, we become part of a family that goes beyond bloodlines.

A family connected through our relationship with God.

But being brothers and sisters in Christ means more than what we call each other.

It means what we're willing to do for each other.

When somebody is struggling, we don't have to stand by and watch.

When somebody is weak, we can share our strength.

And when we're the ones who are hurting, we must be humble enough to receive help.

📖 Galatians 6:2 — Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

He ain't heavy. He's my brother.

And she ain't heavy. She's my sister. 💙

💭 Here's a question: When was the last time you helped somebody simply because they needed you, not because they could do something for you?

WHO CARRIES THE ONE WHO'S ALWAYS CARRYING EVERYBODY ELSE? 💙

Sometimes the strongest person in the room is the one quietly struggling.

The one who encourages everybody else.
The one who prays for everybody else.
The one who shows up for everybody else.

But who's showing up for them?

In Sunday's message, Pastor Michael Smith shared a personal moment when he was going through a difficult season. And in the middle of it all, a simple act of kindness from Coach Jeff opened the door for something much greater.

Sometimes it's not about the sandwich.

It's about knowing somebody sees you. Somebody cares. And you don't have to carry everything alone.

IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT ME. IT'S ABOUT US.

Have you ever noticed that when Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He didn't say MY Father

He said OUR Father.

Not give me my daily bread, but give US our daily bread.

Not forgive me, but forgive US.

Not deliver me, but deliver US.

Pastor Michael Smith reminds us that there's a reason Jesus chose those words.

Our. Us. We.

Because our relationship with God also connects us to one another.

We weren't created to walk this journey alone. We need each other's prayers, encouragement, strength, and love.

And she ain't heavy. She's my sister.

What if one of the greatest ways we demonstrate our love for God is through the way we love, strengthen, and carry one another?

In this powerful continuation of his teaching on the Lord's Prayer, Pastor Michael Smith takes us deeper into two words Jesus taught us to pray:

“Our Father.”

Not just my Father. OUR Father.

There's a reason Jesus taught us to pray give US, forgive US, deliver US.

Because we were never meant to walk this journey alone.

Through Scripture, personal testimony, and the example of Jesus Christ, Pastor reminds us that sometimes we're called to carry someone else's burden. And sometimes, we must humble ourselves enough to let somebody carry ours.

JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN, SHOULD YOU? 🤔

Last week at Destiny School of Ministry, Pastor Michael Smith taught from 1 Corinthians about Christian liberty.

As believers, we have freedom in Christ. But does that mean every choice we have the freedom to make is necessarily the best choice?

Paul challenges us to think beyond ourselves and consider how our decisions affect others.

Here’s something to think about:

How do we know when exercising our freedom might become a stumbling block for someone else?

It’s questions like these that make studying God’s Word together so valuable!
