“Around Sept of last year, I went thru a very traumatic experience that was the culmination of the bad choices I made throughout the summer. My whole world fell apart and I was left questioning my humanity and identity. Thru the persistence of my sisters at Amplify and a few heart to heart session with God, I was able to come out of a deep hole of isolation and depression and find God's peace and love. I am still on a journey back to Jesus but my Amplify family has been a huge support in helping me stay out of my shell and engaged with life. I thank God everyday for all of the beautiful people that He has put into my life.”

“I am excited to share how Jesus has made me a new person. It has been so freeing coming to Amplify and being in a safe place to realize my story can possibly help others come to Christ. I have felt so much shame over most of my life for choices I made but also for things that happened to me that were out of my control and that spiraled into a life of mistakes and regrets. When you let Jesus be the Lord over every part of your life and let him change you I couldn't imagine how filled I am in joy, peace and love. He has literally restored every part of my life... my marriage, my family, my health and my business. I want every person to experience this freedom and joy.”

“All I ever wanted was to be a mom. I never expected to have to go through years of infertility though. My husband and I prayed for a baby for almost 4 years. During that time, our faith was tested in so many ways. There were times when it was hard to trust God‘s plan because we couldn’t see what the ending looked like. But we kept showing up. We remained in community with our church family, we continued volunteering, and we leaned on our brothers and sisters in Christ during the hardest times. And, although it wasn’t in our timing, God answered our prayer in the most beautiful way when he blessed us with our first son. A couple years after he was born, we became pregnant again. Sadly, we suffered a miscarriage at eight weeks. My heart was shattered and I found myself questioning God‘s plan yet again. But yet again, our church family showed up. The amount of support and love we received was incredible and it got us through those difficult days. Not long after, we became pregnant with our rainbow baby. ?? God is so good and so faithful. Even when you can’t see the ending of your story, you can trust that he has a plan for your life that is so much greater than you could ever imagine. We are so thankful for Jesus, and for Amplify Church.”

Sisterhood Stories: Revelation says that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb (our beautiful Jesus) and our testimony. This is a space where we are believing power comes from what we’ve been through as we share it with each other. We will be sharing some of your stories here and we pray that they encourage you, that they give you hope and that they help you find freedom in Jesus.

“I grew up in foster care. My biological father was sentenced to 30 years in jail. By biological mother was involved with drugs and because of that my siblings and I were taken from them. I was put in the care of my aunt, I was just 3 years old. During my time living at my aunts I was abused sexually and physically so badly that I needed a reconstructive surgery on my intestines. I was even shot in my side and I was blamed for “playing with a gun.” I spent months in the hospital recovering before being placed with my foster mom. I was told this would be a safe space, but when I was 7 I was molested by my foster brother. I no longer knew where to go or who I could trust. I felt hopeless and longing for a safe space. I didn’t have my father in my life and I always resented him. This made it extremely hard to understand how God was my father. I only had negative things associated with my father. I didn’t understand his love for many many years. Now he has redeemed my story and used it to encourage others around me!”

How incredible was our first Sisterhood breakfast?! Our prayer is that this is a community of women who come alongside each other and journey through this life together and we hope you felt that in the room. Thank you to our amazing Sisterhood Table and for everyone who helped make this all possible!

We are believing for new hope, refreshed hope, and abounding hope in each of your lives.
