Goodbye and Hello

As Fr. Caleb shared with our parish family this past Sunday, Bishop Kemme has asked him to take a new assignment at the Cathedral in Wichita beginning July 1. Fr. Caleb will still be with us throughout June and for those summer events.

We will also have an opportunity to thank him, wish him well, and say goodbye at the Parish Block Party on June 13 from 5:30-8pm on the SMC Fieldhouse Lawn.

While change can be difficult and we are certainly sad to see Fr. Caleb go, we are deeply grateful for the time he has spent at our parish and for the impact he has had on our families, students, and faith community.

With this goodbye also comes a hello as we prepare to welcome newly ordained Fr. Peter Bergkamp to our parish family in early July. We look forward to getting to know him, supporting him in his priesthood, and beginning this next chapter together as a parish community.

MEMORIAL DAY MASS: 10am on May 25 at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mass will be celebrated at the altar located in the southwest portion of the cemetery. Those wishing to attend are reminded to bring lawn chairs for seating.
If the weather is bad, the Mass will be celebrated at the church at 10am.

NO 6:30am Mass on Monday, May 26.
