This past weekend, we were blessed to welcome Fr. Peter to our parish family! As he begins this new chapter of ministry with us, we invite you to continue extending a warm welcome and keeping him in your prayers as he gets to know our parish and school communities.

Hello, my name is Fr. Peter Bergkamp. I grew up near Garden Plain, KS on a family farm. After attending Kansas State for 3 years, I entered seminary and 7 years later I was ordained a Priest! I am so grateful to be a priest and very excited to be serving at Our Lady of Lourdes. Some things you should know about me is that I am a huge Chiefs fan (for better or for worse), I enjoy all types of sports (golf, basketball, football, soccer, snow skiing, and water sports), and I enjoy hiking and backpacking. Some things that I am looking forward to as your associate is getting to know so many new and wonderful families and parishioners, being involved in all sorts of school activities, celebrating the sacraments, and bringing Jesus to all of these as His priest. Please pray for me through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes as I begin my ministry. God bless!!

What a wonderful evening at our second Journeys of Faith gathering! We were blessed with a great turnout of parishioners seeking to deepen their faith and connect with one another as a community of believers.

The Balkan hosted us for the night. Their generosity in providing the space made it possible for us to bring this program to the parishioners, and we are grateful for their hospitality.

Drinks and Snacks prepared by the Balkan were provided by the Parish Committee For Adult Faith Formation

"Journeys of Faith" is an adult faith formation program, designed not as a class, but as an experience. Our hope is to offer continuing programming involving live, authentic, and inspiring faith stories from fellow parishioners.

Last night our featured guest Michael Ehling shared a personal account of his remarkable conversion. It was moving, inspiring and educational. It was hosted by John Mazurek who lead the discussion with a moving interview style format. His entertaining wit and humor was a perfect fit for the presentation. We believe that by hearing how God is actively working in the lives of ordinary people in our community, we can better recognize Him working in our own. Stay tuned for the next installment of Journeys of Faith coming soon!
