Dear Friends,
I want to thank each of you for the love, kindness, and faithful service you bring to our community and to God's world.
It has been a true gift and privilege to serve alongside you at St. Bartholomew's. We shared laughter, prayer, and many holy moments together. St. Bart's is a remarkable parish, filled with people whose love for God and one another shines brightly. I carry deep gratitude for all that I have learned from you and for the ways you have welcomed me into your lives and your faith journeys.
I want to share that I will be transitioning back to my sponsoring parish, the Church of the Nativity in Raleigh. My last Sunday at St. Bartholomew's will be October 18th.
I will return to Nativity to continue serving as a deacon while also entering a season of discernment regarding my next possible call-in ministry. In conversation with our bishop, we believe this is the faithful next step as I prayerfully explore where God may be leading me. There are many unknowns ahead, but I feel a deep conviction that I need to follow this call with openness, humility, and trust.
Please know this is not goodbye—it is simply "until we meet again." Thank you for allowing me to walk with you in ministry. Continue following Christ with joy, loving one another well, and proclaiming the Good News through your words and your lives.
I hope our paths will cross again, and until then, you will remain in my prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Your brother in Christ,
Cuyler+
