WORD FOR THE DAY
TOPIC: YOU MUST NOT POST EVERYTHING GOD IS DOING IN YOUR LIFE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Some victories do not need a press conference. Some breakthroughs lose their fragrance the moment they are exposed to the noise of public approval. There are miracles that are too holy to be turned into entertainment, too sacred to be explained away, and too precious to be subjected to the opinions of spectators who never fought your battles. See, Goliath fell, but David never posted the stone. He never gathered the crowd to explain the angle of the sling. He never held seminars on the quality of the pebbles from the brook. He never invited people behind the scenes to dissect the strategy that brought down a giant. The giant lay defeated, and that was testimony enough. We live in an age where people feel pressured to document everything, to announce every blessing, justify every decision, explain every breakthrough, and seek validation for every achievement. I must tell you that it is not every victory in your life that belongs in the marketplace of public opinion. Some triumphs are conversations between your soul and God. There are people who would have laughed at Noah if they had understood his instructions. There are people who would have mocked Joseph's dreams before they witnessed Egypt bowing before his wisdom. There are people who would have questioned David's methods before they saw Goliath's body on the ground. Had David sought public approval before stepping onto the battlefield, he might never have released the stone.

One of the greatest signs of maturity is learning that explanation is not an obligation. You do not owe everyone access to your prayers, your tears, your sacrifices, your strategies, or your secret place with God. The world is entitled to witness the fruit; it is not entitled to inspect the roots. Many people destroy what God is building because they announce it too early. They expose seeds before they become trees. They reveal blueprints before foundations are laid. They invite spectators into sacred processes and then become discouraged by criticism from people who were never called to carry the burden. Wisdom understands timing and smartness understands silence and strategy. Silence is not secrecy born out of fear; often, it is stewardship born out of discernment. It is recognizing that sacred things require protection. Jesus Himself often healed people and instructed them to tell no one, not because he was ashamed of the miracle, but because timing matters. Purpose determines disclosure. Do not misunderstand silence as weakness. The loudest person in the room is rarely the strongest. Oceans move continents without making announcements. Roots grow in darkness before branches stretch toward the sky. Diamonds are formed under pressure in hidden places. God's deepest works in human lives frequently occur away from applause.

Guard your dreams from unnecessary exposure. I say this because I know that it is not everyone that is celebrating your potential that also has the capacity to protect it. Share your burdens with the wise, not with the crowd. Seek counsel, not validation. Learn the difference between accountability and exhibition. Do not announce every opportunity before it matures. Do not reveal every strategy before the battle is won. If God has brought down a giant in your life, rejoice. Worship. Give thanks. But understand that you do not have to post the stone.

Humbly yours,

PRAYER FOR THE SOULS IN PURGATORY

O gentle Heart of Jesus,
ever present in the Blessed Sacrament,
ever consumed with burning love
for the poor captive souls in Purgatory,
have mercy on them.

Be not severe in Your judgments,
but let some drops of Your Precious Blood
fall upon the devouring flames.

And, Merciful Saviour,
send Your angels to conduct them
to a place of refreshment,
light and peace.

Amen.

Rest is not a prize for overworking.
But maybe every time you finally sit down, guilt sits beside you.

You remember the messages you have not answered.
The tasks you have not finished.
The plans you still need to organize.
The responsibilities waiting for your attention.

And suddenly, rest does not feel peaceful.
It feels like you are doing something wrong.

Your body is tired, but your mind keeps running.
Your soul is weary, but your thoughts keep making lists.
Your heart wants to breathe, but survival-mode productivity keeps whispering,
“You should be doing more.”

So even when you pause, you do not really rest.

You lie down with mental noise.
You eat while thinking about unfinished work.
You take a break while secretly measuring whether you deserve it.

But right now, remember this,
God does not measure your worth by your output.

He is not more pleased with you when you are constantly exhausted.
He is not asking you to prove your faithfulness through nonstop striving.
He is not glorified by a soul that is always running but rarely resting in Him.

“In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves.”
Psalm 127:2

The God who calls you to work also gives you permission to sleep.

This does not mean you become lazy.
It means you remember you are human.

Pausing is not laziness.
Resting is not failure.
Sleeping is not wasted time.
Breathing is not selfish.

Sometimes, rest is an act of trust.

It is your quiet confession that God is still working even when you are not.
It is your reminder that the world does not depend on your constant movement.
It is your surrender that you are loved not because you produce, but because you belong to Him.

So right now, put something down.

The unfinished list.
The pressure to prove.
The guilt that keeps following you into quiet places.

Let your body rest.
Let your mind slow down.
Let your soul breathe.

The Good Morning God Prayer

Good Morning God!
You are ushering in another day,
untouched and freshly new.
So here I am to ask you, God,
if You'll renew me too.

Forgive the many errors that I made yesterday
and let me try again dear God
to walk closer in Your way.

But Lord, I am well aware,
I can't make it on my own.
So take my hand and hold it tight,
for I cannot walk alone.

PRAYER TO JESUS,
THE GOOD SHEPHERD.

Faithful Shepherd,
You are not a hireling who runs away at the sight of danger,
but Your fidelity was tested
and proven on the wood of the Cross.
Accept the gift of our gratitude
for Your marvelous care.
Help us to hear and follow Your voice.

Watchful Shepherd,
who protects the flock
and searches tirelessly
for those who wander from the fold,
retrieve the lost and bring them home.
Tend and heal their wounds.

Good Shepherd,
who lays down His Life for His sheep,
nourish Your people with the Bread of Life,
that we may reflect Your likeness
and enjoy the spring of Living Water that never ends.

Amen.
