The Leviathan Spirit

The Leviathan spirit is the king over all children of pride. (Is. 27:1)
The Leviathan spirit, represented by the crocodile or large sea serpent, attacks leaders, causing them to become arrogant and puffed up. We are aware that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (1 Pet. 5:5) and humility is a prerequisite for accessing the grace of God.

The most extensive reference to Leviathan is found in chapter 41 in the book of Job.
Accordingly the characteristics of the Leviathan spirit include prayerlessness (Job 41:33), harsh words (v.3), covenant breaking (v.4)., no breath (or spirit, or air; v.16)
stubbornness (or being stiff necked, v.24) , hardness of heart (v. 24),
and above all, pride (v. 34). Pride opens the door for destruction (Prov. 16:18)

Ministries can become proud through knowledge and success (1 Cor. 8:1), but this is the opposite of humility , which is the key to honor and success.
A lack of humility will open the doors for spirits of pride; arrogance, haughtiness, and self exaltation. These are dangerous spirits that must be identified and driven out and away from the assembly.

"Too often Christians regard the Law merely as a set of legalisms, and they view Jewish people as trying to follow the letter of the Law. On the other hand [they] then proclaim that the New Covenant describes how God works in grace to redeem His people and shower His love on them. In no way should such a compartmentalization exist between the Old and New Testaments. Deuteronomy describes how God blessed Israel and showered His love on them because of His grace and mercy. What the Lord expected from Israel in return was an outpouring of love. While some people misappropriated God's intentions and developed a legalistic substitute, a remnant in every generation always deeply loved, honored, and served the Lord their God."

Lord Jesus You said that Your house was to be a “house of prayer for all nations”. And so I ask that our community of faith learn the discipline of prayer. May we determine to increasingly become those who “cast every care” onto You, to “watch on the wall” for Your church and who “always pray and never give up” until we see lives transformed, revival fall and the last great harvest come in! (Mark 11:17; 1 Peter 5:7; Isaiah 62:6-7; Luke 18:1-8)

Father I ask that You breathe new Spirit-life into our community of faith. May revival visitations of the Holy Spirit fall on us, change us, renew us, I pray! (Ezekiel 37:5). May we not resist the Holy Spirit in any way.

I cast down every thought of imagery and every whispering word that has not come from God or comes against God's Righteousness,

I stand on God's Word this morning and according to Psalms 91 you are covered ....

A Place of Protection

Like a young eagle in its mother's nest, you are safe in His presence. His truth covers and protects you Psalms 91:4-5. Night terrors are a great problem with many today, children and adults alike.
