Our Lady of Fatima Church - Piscataway

Our Lady of Fatima Church - Piscataway We are the Roman Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Fatima located in the Township of Piscataway, in Middlesex County, New Jersey.

We belong to the Diocese of Metuchen and consist of about 2,600 registered families. Mission Statement
The mission of Our Lady of Fatima Parish is to worship God and promote holiness of life through the celebration of the Sacraments, the sharing of the Gospel, the promotion of Catholic values and the offering of pastoral care through ministries that provide education, formation, healing, spiritual

growth, and social outreach to the diverse community of Piscataway and the surrounding area. Parish Vision Statement
Under the care and patronage of Mary, the Mother of God, we, the members of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, strive to live our baptismal call to holiness of life. Responding to the grace of the Holy Spirit received in the sacraments, we seek to become more like Jesus Christ who leads us to the Eternal Father in Heaven. We accept as our religious and moral guide the teachings of the Church as taught by the Pope and the bishops united with him. Inspired by the example of the saints and mindful that we are stewards of God’s abundant blessings, we strive to practice the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy as we serve those in need and build up the Kingdom of God in our midst. 🙏🏼 Prayer for Divine Guidance 🙏🏼
Lord God, You are the Source of all goodness, beauty and wisdom. All creation reflects your glory and rightly gives you praise.

Mindful of our sins, we stand before You. Humbly, we beg for your mercy and ask for your grace.

We thank You for your past blessings upon our parish and ask for your continued guidance in planning our future.

Seeking to do your Will, we ask You to enlighten our minds and purify our hearts. Help us to recognize the needs of all who worship You in our church and to seek the beauty that is deserving of your Holy Temple. May we discern what is best for our community of faith and do what will bring honor and glory to Your Name.

We ask this through the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, and through Jesus Christ, from whom all blessings come. Amen.

The Renovation of Our Lady of Fatima Parish Begins!
We are pleased to announce that the renovation of our church will officially begin on Sunday, June 14, 2026. It will consist of four phases:
The Architectural and Engineering Phase
During this critical phase we will work with architects, engineers and other experts in developing a detailed projected plan. This includes getting permits and variances and obtaining bids from various contractors. This phase will begin immediately.
The Transitional Phase
During this phase we will make the necessary preparations for the temporary move of our liturgical services to the gym. This includes setting up the gym, creating a provisional sacristy and making arrangements with local parishes for the use of their churches for special liturgies such as weddings and funerals. This phase will begin after the new year with Masses staring in the gym after Easter.
The Construction Phase
During this phase, the construction of the upstairs and downstairs church will take place. This phase will begin after Easter and continue until late Spring.
The Final Phase
During this phase the church will be furnished and final inspections will take place with the rededication of the church on Saturday, May 13, 2028, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.
To celebrate the official start of the renovation and give thanks to Almighty God, we will offer a Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, June 14th at 1pm. The main celebrant will be Fr. Jay Toborowsky, our diocesan administrator who is responsible for leading the Diocese of Metuchen while we await the appointment of a new bishop. All are welcome to join us for the Mass.
Following the Mass, a special reception will be held in the auditorium for all those who have made a pledge to our Capital Campaign. It is our simple way of thanking you for your support. Attending the reception will be Mr. Brian Doran, the head architect of the project, who will make a brief presentation and be available to answer any questions. We ask that those who receive an invitation, please RSVP by June 7th.
Please know that we will continue to accept pledges and donations during the renovation. We are almost at our target goal and will reach it with everyone’s support. Thank you to all those who have already made a pledge. If you have not done so, please prayerfully consider making one today. Thank You.
