Pentecost was never meant to stay inside the Upper Room. Six hours after Peter stood up filled with the Holy Spirit, he and John were walking into the temple at the hour of prayer when they encountered a man who had been lame from birth. Peter looked at him and said, “Look at us.” The visible flames were gone, but the fire was still on them. In this message, Pastor Larry Ragland challenges believers to get out of the room, break free from spiritual complacency, and carry the presence of God into the streets so hurting people can encounter the power of Jesus Christ.

Pentecost was Heaven’s answer to Babel.

This Sunday at 10AM CT, I am preaching “Babel Reversed.”

At Babel, man tried to build his way into heaven and make a name for himself. God confused the languages and scattered the people.

But in Acts 2, the Holy Spirit filled the Upper Room, put fire on believers, and caused the scattered languages of the nations to declare the mighty works of God.

This is not just a history lesson. This is a word for the Church right now.

The Church was born in the fire of Pentecost, and I believe we need that fire again.
