The church in community involves striving together to push each other toward Christ. Standard of honor - outdoing one another - Romans 12:10. Life of grace - serving one another - Galatians 5:13. Catalyst of growth - spurring one another on - Hebrews 10:24, 25.

John 5:1-8. Do You Want to Be Made Whole? Jesus asks questions throughout His ministry on earth: Who do men say that I am? Why are you afraid? Where is your faith? Do you want to be made whole appears to be obvious, but Jesus is asking the lame man whether he is ready to leave the place that he is stuck in. God's timing is impeccable. Trust Him during the waiting period. Presence of Jesus: Jesus visits places where He is needed. God has not forgotten you. Perception of Jesus: Jesus sees and knows your situation; knows your story behind your story; knows what you are ashamed of and scared of and still loves you. Power of Jesus: Jesus sometimes tells us to do something impossible. Depend on His power, not your limitations. Don't look at what you don't have; look at Who you have.

Sermon title: Awaken to the Wonder of the God of Creation. Psalm 8:1-4; Psalm 19: 1:1-4; Isaiah 40:28; Colossians 1: 15-17; Acts 17:24, 27, 28; Romans 11:33, 36. Our glorious universe communicates with us through creation. The glory of God humbles and silences the arrogance of man. Creation contemplation is a portal into a life of reverence. Stand in silent awe before God's creation.

God's nation consists of every nation, every tongue, every tribe whose allegiance is to Jesus. Understanding results in: my disappointment with the world fades; I become free and fully enfranchised forever; I am being carefully formed; I can receive others in genuine grace; I reflect God's exellencies.

Sermon scripture: John 5: 1-17, 24. Sermon title: Blessing at Bethesda. Bethesda means, House of Mercy. Jesus demonstrates full grace. He saw, understood, and drew the sick man out. Jesus transformed misery to mercy. He, the fountain of living water, gave the sick man his life back. Jesus prioritizes people over religion. The religious police criticized Jesus for healing on the Sabbath. Jesus saw a need and met it with healing, blessing, enabling, granting deliverance.

Press your way to get what Jesus has for you. God's plan is in motion no matter how it appears before your eyes. Let the praise come before the breakthrough.
