Sermon scripture: John 1:35-39. Sermon title: Come and See. Do you know Jesus? Come on back to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Drink in and absorb the gospels, especially John. Read with your mind but also with your soul. Expect the gospels to impact your life. 2 Corinthians 3:17, 18.

Sermon scripture: Acts 2: 1-13, 14-16, 22-24, 36-41. Sermon title: Happy Birthday, Church. Verse 2. Just as God breathed life into Adam, God the Spirit filled the believers to be quickened to make a difference and be unshakeable. Verse 3. The church's mission is to communicate the love of God. The Spirit conquered the language barrier at Jerusalem. We are to do whatever we can to spread the gospel. Verse 41. God established the church as an unparalleled, incomparable fellowship, to be an oasis in the midst of a desert, to accept and not reject in truth.

Sermon Title: Lies We've Been Told. Eve made a decision based on a lie. The world delivers lies and we often make choices and build our belief system based on them. Lies told to us, like, "You will never amount to anything" or "You are worthless," can put us in bo***ge. Be careful what we say so that our words cancel out lies. John 16:13. The Holy Spirit will guide to all truth. Daily study of the word and prayer asking for understanding of the word will keep us from being misled by lies and false teaching.

Sermon scripture: John 19:23-27. Sermon title: From the Cross With Love, Family Still Matters. Jesus looked out for His mother while suffering and dying for the world, showing us that even at our darkest moment, with pressure on us, we should have enough love for family. When it's not easy, when it costs us time, when we have to rearrange our life, when it's inconvenient, we should have a cross-shaped love that shows up and takes care of people, especially our spiritual family. Some do not need a sermon, they need support; some don't need another cliche', they need community; some don't need shouting, they need showing up and sitting with those grieving. Jesus creates community at the cross; He balanced handling heaven and handling home; He cares about our soul and our situation.

Sermon scripture: Matthew 6:25-33. Sermon title: Same Issues; Same God. We look to those in authority to remove physical, emotional, spiritual, financial oppression when we have access to the King of kings. Verse 25: disengage from non-productive practices. Worrying is wasting our time to a future possible outcome instead of trusting what God has for us. Verse 26: reshape our focus. Look in a different direction. God provides for birds; He will provide for us who reflect His image. Verse 28: learn from creation. Solomon could not match the lilies. Remember who is keeping us; recognize our worth. Verse 33: put first things first. We serve a God who has already dealt with these issues. Seek a kingdom agenda, spreading the kingdom, and seek righteousness, right living, operating with kingdom principles. God will show Himself faithful.

Sermon scripture: Luke 17:11-19. Sermon title: Healing Through Gratitude. Living a grateful life is not easy or convenient, but it is worth it. Taking time to count your blessings takes the focus off ourselves and brings us into an encounter with God. Gratitude is intentional. In verses 15, 16, the one l***r removed himself from the revelry of the nine and praised God in a loud voice, doing more because he sought more than a superficial relationship. Gratitude is powerful. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Gratitude humbles us, redirects us, puts us in a posture of falling at Jesus' feet.

Sermon scripture: Luke 19:41-44. Sermon title: Why Jesus Cries Over the City. Jesus wept over Jerusalem's failure to recognize their Messiah, because they rejected Him, because they did not receive HIm. They missed His peace, His power, His promises. John 16:20. Our weeping over the world who has not accepted Jesus will turn to joy. May we operate on the desire to share the Christ that weeps and won the victory.

Sermon scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:20-22. Sermon title: All Promises in Jesus. The Word is Jesus, His assignment, and the fulfillment of His assignment. God's promises are priceless. 2 Peter 1:3-9. We are equipped with power to develop daily, maturing us in His Spirit.
