Today the UCWM and Brotherhood came together to serve the less fortunate at Poindexter Park. Every person we encountered was truly appreciative of the support and kindness shared.

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Tearria Johnson!

Dr. Johnson was a recipient of the 40 under 40 award which recognizes individuals on the National Level who have made a positive impact in their community as well as in their local church.

As she continues to strive to do the work of the Lord Dr. Johnson refers to Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

“All I’ve ever wanted was for God to get the Glory out of my life” says Dr. Johnson.

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Tearria Johnson for her spotlight in the Women In Business Directory. Dr. Johnson is the owner of Praying Handz Daycare in Pinola, MS and X-Cellent Event Center in Georgetown, MS.

Dr. Johnson knew early in life that she wanted to work with children and teach. After her 12 year tenure at Camp Shelby, Dr. Johnson simply “just prayed and asked the Lord, what am I going to do next?” After following His lead doors began to open. On January 4, 2016 Praying Handz Daycare opened its doors to serve the needs of 36 children.

Dr. Johnson continues to make a positive impact in her community by doing what she LOVES to do and that is SERVING others.
