Good morning.This is the Daily Word from Thomas Cavenaugh.

Isaiah 25:1-4…a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy…

Isaiah 25:
1: O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2: For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3: Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4: For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Isaiah 12
1: And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2: Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 The LORD God is my strength,…

Habakkuk 3:
17: Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19: The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood before a king who threatened to throw them into a blazing furnace...🔥

And their response in Daniel 3 will ALWAYS be one of my favorite examples of what trusting God can look like.🥹🙏

👉 They knew God was able to deliver them.

👉 But they also made it clear that EVEN IF He didn’t, they would not bow down to the king’s image.

Their obedience wasn’t dependent on getting the outcome they wanted!🚫

They weren’t serving God because He had guaranteed them an easy escape.🚫

They were serving Him because He was GOD.🙌

Our circumstances don’t determine whether God is worthy of our trust.

He is worthy even when following Him comes at a cost.🙏🤎✝️

Jeremiah 3:
14: Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
15: and I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Due to the fellowship, food and fun, there wasn’t many pics taken last night at our FALL FUN NIGHT.
……And there was so many standing around the fish stew pots that it’s hard to say whose advice was taken and whose wasn’t but we do have evidence (see pic below) of who cleaned at least one of the pots. (We’ll leave the bragging rights out of this but it was some delicious fish stew!)
While the fish stew was a big hit for those who love fish stew; the hotdogs were just as great for those who didn’t. (Again, we’ll leave the bragging rights out of this but they were great and need I say anything about those bake beans😋.) Desserts are a whole different topic in itself. We have some great cooks at TPA.
Big thanks for Teresa and the kitchen crew for serving up a fantastic meal.
Thanks for all that Pastor Mical did in making sure that the kids stayed safe and had a blast. They so enjoyed that bouncy house, for sure!
SO MANY HAD A HAND in putting this together behind the scenes that I just wanted to shout out a huge THANK YOU TO EVERYONE for all that was done to make this such a FUN Fall Night! ~Pastor Anita

1 Chronicles 13:12-14 And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom…

1 Chronicles 13:
12: And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
13: So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. 14: And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that he had.
