First Christian Church, Alexandria/Pineville Louisiana We're a small congregation striving to love God and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We are fully affirming of LGBTQ persons and families.

We are part of the Disciples of Christ denomination. The Disciples of Christ (Christian Church) is a denomination emphasizing Christian unity, inclusiveness, and social action. Our official identity statement says, “We are a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.”

ung and old, different shades of skin, from the whole spectrum of sexuality and gender, believers and questioners, rich and poor, wounded and healers, life-long followers and new to the faith. Our arms are open wide to all seeking a place at the Lord's Table.

When the school year ends, many children in Central Louisiana lose access to the meals they depend on each day. The Food Bank of Central Louisiana works to fill that gap during the summer months by connecting kids and families with meals in familiar places. Please contact the Food Bank at 318-445-2773 with any questions about the Summer Feeding Program.
