Goodwill Cemetery, Pineland, Texas Goodwill Cemetery Goodwill Cemetery is a primarily African American community cemetery in Pineland, Texas.

It is managed by a Board of Directors nominated and voted by the community. Upkeep and management of the cemetery is maintained by funds raised by community members primarily through an annual drive. There is a $50 annual family honorarium that will need to met (even with arrangements) or a $500 one time fee at the time of burial. One transaction or the other must be met prior to the approval for

burial. To be interred in the cemetery, please contact one of the following:

This coming week, we will be going through both cemeteries and cleaning out old flowers etc in preparation for the Spring Season.

Please plan to come and visit graves and outfit them with fresh flowers for the new season. The weather is nice, so our graveyard should be looking good this year.

**The main cemetery is will undergo some dirt work really soon. I will work with Kendall Coleman to get some of our most derelict graves filled and looking better when he comes.

CEMETERY DUES FOR 2025 ARE $50.00 --you can contact Renekil Hamilton or any member to make a payment.
-Household includes: husband, wife, and kids (that are under 21 or in college).

Spring is approaching and the grass will begin to grow. Please contact Dr. Gilder or Bro. Mason to get on the rotation to help keep the both cemeteries maintained during the mowing season.

Families, we have worked extremely hard to get the cemetery cleaned up to its current point.

If you are go into either cemetery, you need to be on foot. Somebody tried to drive through the big cemetery and rutted it up! With all of the rain and the winter season, this is not the time for any wheels to be in the cemetery!

With the ruts, the cemetery is back looking a mess! Let’s do better.

Greetings to all and we pray we find you all in good spirits. As we all have noticed our cemeteries are in need of some attention. Due to health issues they have not received their normal upkeep. Bro. Mason, and Bro. Hamilton have worked diligently over the years to keep them maintained. We appreciate you both for your services. Now is the time that we come together as a community to do our part.

A huge appreciation shout out to Bro. Derrick Williams for mowing Cemetery I on Sunday.

Rev. Gilder your tireless services have not gone unnoticed as well throughout the years.

If anyone has the time or resources - Cemetery I: still needs to be w**d eated and Cemetery II is in desperate need of immediate attention.

As this mowing season comes to an end- many have suggested that we set work dates with advance notice so that they can come and lend a hand in the last few cuttings of the season.

We all have loved ones in these cemeteries so no permission is needed if you would like to help with the beautification of either location. All help is welcome!

Goodwill Cemetery II was mowed today after all the rain and storms we have had recently.

This cemetery will go through a cleaning in the next two weeks to rid old flowers, stands, and old trinkets that are left behind as decoration. If you come out multiple times a year and the flowers are fresh, they will not be touched.

Everything else will be thrown away to get the cemetery looking better than what it’s looking. Also, when you come out to see your loved ones try and maintain the grave by taking old stuff out.
