Due to a family need, tonight’s Bible Study has been moved to a 6PM prayer service at Ned Garcia’s home and will not meet at the church.

Our study through Exodus chapter 22 will continue next Wednesday. Tonight, we invite our church family to join us in prayer as we gather to support and encourage one another.

Please keep Ned Garcia and his family in your prayers.

Amen. One of the most meaningful moments of the retreat was seeing our learning community come together in prayer for Pastor Sam’s and Doreen’s son. The compassion and care we are learning to give children was reflected in the way we cared for one another. What a beautiful picture of God’s family.

What an incredible week of learning, collaboration, and growth! Our Sunday school teachers- Pastor Sam Alonzo Jr., Josh Alonzo, and Brooke Garcia had the opportunity to participate in the Nurturing Care Maker Space through Nazarene Theological Seminary, where we joined church leaders from across the country. As part of this experience, churches were invited to develop a ministry prototype addressing a need in their local church and community, with the opportunity to apply for grant funding to help implement it.

Together, we developed a prototype focused on building a culture of compassion through mentoring relationships that connect generations and strengthen our church family. One of the biggest lessons we learned is that compassion is more than something we teach. It is something we live out every day through relationships, service, and love.

We are grateful for this opportunity and excited to bring these ideas home to Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek God’s wisdom in putting these lessons into action for our church and community. ❤️ It was also great to link up with Ramah Navajo with Pastor Randy and Tenisha. We collaborated and are collectively partnering as our focus is on community!

Tim Cruz, the Nazarene Youth International District President for North Cal, brought such a powerful and encouraging message to our youth during Sunday morning service at Elevate. He knows the Southwest Native American District very well and always warmly greets everyone with “Ya’ateeh,” which made our students feel seen, welcomed, and connected.

As our youth sat in the beautiful Greek amphitheater overlooking the Pacific Ocean alongside more than 1500 other youth, they were reminded of just how big and amazing God is.

Tim shared about what it means to go through struggles while still abiding in the Lord. He reminded everyone that we all face hardships, but through Jesus we can overcome them. One powerful point he shared was that pastors and leaders often open up about the things they have gone through so that the next generation can learn, grow, and hopefully avoid some of those same struggles.

The atmosphere was absolutely incredible. Worshipping, hearing God’s Word, taking communion together, and being surrounded by so many young people seeking Jesus was truly a special experience for our youth. God’s presence was evident all around us as we overlooked His beautiful creation.

To make the weekend even more memorable, our group also got to meet Tim Cruz personally and take pictures with him. What an amazing and unforgettable experience for Pine Hill Naz and Ramah Naz youth at Elevate.

Our youth are home from Elevate in Point Loma, California! Elevate is a youth retreat where students can use their talents, connect with other youth, and most importantly grow closer to God. It is a place where young people can open their hearts to Jesus Christ and learn what it means to abide in Him.

Pine Hill Naz and Ramah Naz were blessed to take their youth to experience worship, fellowship, fun, and powerful moments with God. Our group was part of the largest Southwest Native American District participation at Elevate with over 100 kiddos attending. Elevate also welcomed more than 1500 students from churches across New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Hawaii.

The students made unforgettable memories that we pray will continue to strengthen their walk with Jesus. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible through fundraising, donations, encouragement, and prayers for our youth. Your support truly made a difference!

While Pastor Sam, our youth leaders, and teens are in San Diego attending Elevate, we are thankful for leaders here at home stepping up to serve our congregation.

Today, Hal Charley led Sunday School with a powerful lesson on the Armor of God from Ephesians 6. He reminded us that as Christians we face spiritual battles daily, and God has equipped us with His armor to stand firm through faith, prayer, obedience, and His Word.

Gabe Natan also shared an encouraging message about picking up our cross daily and holding tightly to God through every season of life. He reminded us that God’s promises are true, His love never fails, and salvation is found through Jesus Christ alone.

Both men shared personal testimonies about trusting God through struggles, growth, and life’s challenges. Their message was clear: put on the full Armor of God, stay faithful, and let the light of Christ shine through you.

We are thankful for the faithful leadership and encouragement shared with our church today.
