Midweek Bible Study has always been the heartbeat of a church that truly hungers for God. It’s the gathering where distractions fade, where the noise of the week quiets down, and where the people of God come together to sit under the Word with open hearts. But some weeks remind us — gently, yet unmistakably — that the hunger of the church is not what it once was.
There are moments when the room feels quieter than it should, not because God isn’t speaking, but because His people have grown comfortable. Life gets busy. Priorities shift. The fire that once burned hot can slowly settle into embers without anyone noticing. And yet, even in the stillness, the Spirit continues to call.
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Midweek is not filler. It’s not optional. It’s not a bonus round for the spiritually elite. It is the place where God often speaks the clearest — not in the crowd, but in the remnant. Not in the noise, but in the quiet. Not in the multitude, but in the few who still make room for Him.
If the Lord has been tugging at your heart… if you’ve felt the drift… if you’ve sensed the dullness creeping in… this is your invitation. Not from a pastor. Not from a church. But from the One who still walks in the midst of His people.
This Wednesday, let’s come with expectation. Let’s come with humility. Let’s come ready to hear what the Lord saith unto the church.
Because when God speaks, the size of the room doesn’t matter — but the condition of the heart does.
