In this text, the Psalmist is providing an answer to his own question, “Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence?” After mentioning different places he could go and the Lord would still be with him, we get to our text, “even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast (Net Bible: “grab hold of me).”
There is no place in this world or metaphorically, in life, where God cannot find us or be with us. There are times when we may not always feel His presence, but He’s there because He’s God. He loves us and is concerned about us. Make it a great day!

Spiritual gifts or the manifestation of the Spirit in the life of a believer isn’t necessarily a personal gift given for the benefit of the individual. The text says that these gifts are for the common good or the benefit of all. So your faith, healing, discernment, tongues, etc are not just for your personal benefit and enjoyment or even to make you appear to be “spiritual” in the eyes of others. These are meant for you to use to serve others with for the glory of the Lord.

Holy Saturday is the Blessed Sabbath; the day Jesus is reposed in the tomb. It was the point in time in between the suffering and agony of the Crucifixion and the glorious victory of the Resurrection. It was a quiet day in comparison to the noise of the day before. It was a day of anticipation as everyone waited to see what might happen next. The seventh and final day of Holy Week, this is when Jesus rested from His labor of the redemption of mankind, just as the Father rested from the labor creation on the seventh day. With these things in mind, we can be encouraged that after suffering, victory is coming. But in the meantime, we wait and we rest. ☦︎CAJ

Good morning! Life is full of “things.” We spend our time dealing with this “thing” or that “thing” on a daily basis. Some “things” bring us pleasure and some “things” bring us pain. Paul the apostle admonishes us here in the text that if we love God and are called according to HIS purpose, all “things” work together for good. God is good and He’s sovereign. Trust Him. Everything will work out according to His will. Make it a great day! ☦︎CAJ

Happy New Year UACC family! As we embark upon 2024, remember often that God truly does make all things beautiful in its appropriate time. He makes all things”fit” the way they are supposed to, even when we may not understand the road we must travel or each path we must take. Let’s mark this moment to repent, reset, reprioritize, refuel, refute, and renew. The real change is not on the calendar; it must take place in us. Make it a great year! ☦︎CAJ
