Our options are Howard (Lead Pastor), Tyson (Executive Pastor, Rising Lead Pastor), Ryan (Children’s Pastor), Daniel (Youth Pastor), and Sean (Assistant Youth Pastor)! If we hit a certain goal, Madison- our other Youth Leader- will get pied as well 👀

Social Devotions: 7 Days of Peace
Day 7

God tells us how we can have peace despite our worries. We must pray in every situation, asking God to change us and provide for us. We must give thanks to Him. In return, He promises peace that will “guard our hearts and minds in Jesus Christ.” Philippians 4:6-7, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

We are called to leave and gratitude. Does the “peace of Christ” rule in your heart? Is there someone you need to reach out to today to make peace? What have you thanked God for today? Colossians 3:15, “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”

God cares for you! He loves you deeply, and He knows everything about you. When you give your worried and disappointments to God in prayer, He will show you just how much He loves you. 1 Peter 5:6-7, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the might hand of God so that at the proper time He May exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”

Would you describe your level of trust in God and Hus plan as “steadfast”? The Bible teaches that when we give our unwavering trust to God, we will experience peace. Is there an area of your life that you haven’t given to God? Isaiah 26:3, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in You.”

God’s commands in Scripture dorm just teach us how to live - they teach us that we can’t have peace without His instruction! He promises great peace to those who love His law. What can you do today to make more time for reading God’s Word? Psalm 119:165, “Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.”

God established peace for His people, the Israelites. He did this in their outward circumstances and within their hearts. He longs to do the same for you! Today, list out “all you have accomplished” and give thanks to God for His work. Isaiah 26:12, “O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us for all our works.”
