Happy Friday!
Our scripture from Genesis tells the story of Abram's call to go to a new land prepared for him and his family. To go into the unknown, trusting in God and his promises.
It is a good message for all of us as we travel into unknown territory. Our fears creep up on the "what if's" that could happen. We fight with having control over our lives, and moving forward into unknown territory with complete trust in our Father God, sometimes is just hard. But when we give over our control completely, and let God have control of the steering wheel, we are able to go to places he has planned for us that are beyond our own expectations.
Even in our church families, we are going into new territory, we are traveling new paths in our faith journey, we realize our faults and are correcting our actions, we are traveling into new discussions and new directions. The old way we grew up within our churches and our faith is on a new journey. Just as each of us get to a point in our lives, where we must say goodbye to what is comfortable, and step out in faith.
