"Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.

You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near."

- James 5:7-8

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. "

What a nice surprise at this year's Orange County O.C. Leadership Prayer Breakfast...

As Pastor Karsten went to sit at New Prospect's sponsored table, he was met by a couple of friendly faces from the past!

Joseph and May Shih of the Orange County Christian Community Church, who were assigned to the same table, worked closely with Karsten about 18 years ago when Karsten worked with their church's middle and high school Sunday School students for about 6 (or more) years ago!

What a blessing for the group from New Prospect Church to start off the day at the O.C. Leadership Prayer Breakfast!

This year's speaker was JoAnn Atlas, Founder of the Lt. Gregg Atlas Foundation. JoAnn’s story and the work of the Lt. Gregg Atlas Foundation reminded attendees that even in the face of unimaginable loss, there is strength in coming together, compassion in serving others, and hope in choosing to move forward.

This special gathering honored the legacy of Lt. Gregg Atlas, his family, and all those whose lives were lost or forever changed by September 11th, while looking toward a future shaped by kindness, courage, inclusion, and community.

The mission of the Orange County Leadership Prayer Breakfast is to bring together like-minded individuals from all walks of life who have faith and believe in the power of prayer and to lift up County leaders in that prayer so they may serve with the wisdom and discernment God bestows upon them.
