Don’t despise small beginnings whatever see the Lord has placed within. You will be birth in his perfect timing. Just like a seed in the ground, doesn’t grow overnight. It’s planted. Likewise, with the seed that the Lord has planted within us. It first takes root developing and growing in the darkness until it begins budding and bearing fruit for a to see and benefit from. The harvest that comes isn’t merely for you but those assigned to you. Those the Lord has marked you to reach with what He’s birthed inside of you. Be patient. Continue plowing. Continue toiling. Continue uprooting all that may choke the seed and stunt the growth. Continue abiding in the One who gives life and brings the harvest, Christ Jesus.

To say the last week or two have been challenging would be an understatement. Things in the kingdom of God are contrary to the ways of the world. Where, for one, opposition is actually a compliment. Because the enemy is not going to attack anybody that’s on his side. But when you’re trying to stay in alignment and be obedient and hear the voice of the Lord, seeking His ways, living by His precepts, His commands, His ways in totality, making Him your entire life, forsaking sin, living clean, submitting to the refinement and the purging and the pruning that He wants to do in your life to make you more like Him, hell will throw its arsenal at you. From mind games to health issues, finances, disruptions, things occurring on the job where it’s sporadic and you’re like, What just hit me? What just happened? But in these cases we must learn to suffer well. We must embrace it and praise the Lord even in the midst of it, because God is using it to grow us up and bring us to full maturity in Him. It’s a testing of faith, and it’s a testimony to everybody that sees. Just like Job, sometimes the Lord dangles you, brags on you by putting you in the fire so all the people could see that the one that stands with you in the fire causes you to withstand and not be burnt. When logically they’re thinking, You should give up. You should be dead even right now. You shouldn’t be standing. How are you still praising? How are you still full of joy and peace? They don’t understand. But that’s a testimony of the Lord’s power and strength and glory through it all. The hand of God upon you is a testimony for others unto salvation. Embrace every moment of it, even when it hurts. Even when you don’t understand. Even when it’s tedious and you find yourself with zero strength. Know that the Lord is with you and He hasn’t left you alone, nor has He forgotten about you. He stands with you in the fire. You come out refined, not smelling like smoke, but shining even brighter so others can see His glory and marvelous light. So that they may encounter the cross and come to a place of surrender and submission unto salvation.

Before there was a brand, there was a testimony. There were prayers prayed in dark seasons, prayers of intercession, prayers that stood in the gap, and prayers God used to help turn a life headed toward destruction back toward Jesus Christ.

The Lord knew my ending from my beginning. He knew there was going to be a time in the road where the fire that was set ablaze would diminish to a mere spark, and I would return to my vomit, walking away from Him, having a tug-of-war going on within myself that said, on one side I knew better and I wanted to get out, and on the other side, I'm too deep. Might as well follow through. That was all a lie. The enemy thought he had me, but that flame, it never stopped being a spark. And a spark could always be set ablaze once again, greater than it was before. And that's exactly what the Lord did for me. He saved me from a life that I could have been full-blown in the occult, living a complete opposite alternate lifestyle from the one the Lord set before me, engaging in so much sin and darkness, becoming callous, cold, eventually reprobate. But the Lord said no. Mercy said no. Grace said no. The Lord said, 'You're mine, and I have a purpose and a plan for you that you will fulfill.' Now, did it come easy? Certainly not. But the Lord had His way, and He extended His hand into the muck and the mire, into the dark whirlpool that I found myself in, and He pulled me out, and He saved me from me, and He set me ablaze once again. The Lord is no respecter of persons. What He'll do for one, He'll do for another. He wishes no one to perish. He desires no one to perish and go to eternal destruction. And He'll orchestrate ways for someone to avoid that. But it's up to you to take His hand. If God could pull me out and clean me up and set me ablaze on fire once again, He can indeed do the same for you.

The Lord will use anything to bring Himself glory. He will show up and show out to take care of you in such a way that will leave people speechless, wondering how something happened. And that is your opportunity to boast in the Lord, to magnify His name, lifting it up on high, bring glory to Him, and testify all at the same time. Some things are so mundane to us, but it's those things that could be the very thing that paves the way for someone's salvation. Remember, the goodness of God leads to repentance. So why not proclaim His goodness so others can know the God who saves?

My season of backsliding wasn't just mere backsliding, dabbling in sin. It was full speed on the track to hell. I had literally made myself an enemy to God. And I was headstrong, and I didn't care what came. Nothing was gonna stop me. I was gonna see through what I wanted to see when I wanted to see it. I provoked God to anger, and He had every right to destroy me if He wanted to. But the calling that He had in my life remained. His hand remained. Grace and mercy cried out. His love for me was greater than my sin. And in that love, mercy, and grace, He reached out in the pits of darkness and pulled me out with a strong hand. As a result, God saved me from me.

There was one point in my life where I lost the fear of the Lord. Backsliding was an understatement. I indulged in sin and the pleasures of it, and I didn't care about anything of the things of God. I walked like I was untouchable. I even asked to say that the Lord owed me something, when all He owed me was death, if it came down to it, because I had walked away. For the wages of sin is death. But the Lord in His mercy, His grace, didn't give up on me. He knew my ending from the beginning. He knew the way I was going to take, and He knew that He was going to pull me out of it. And He knew even through pain, suffering, and turmoil, that He was going to use all of it for a message, a testimony that would help others overcome, a testimony that would bring deliverance to others, a message that testified of His glory, that magnified the work of His hands, that He could pull someone out of the muck and the mire, out of the very lowest pits that hell had dug, and that I allowed myself to be pulled into, to even live in it for a season. It's the making of a testimony that helps others in bo***ge and in captivity be set free and find newness of life in Christ, to come to the foot of the cross and surrender in totality to the one who holds everything in His hands, to the one who loves you more than you could ever fathom, the one who is our very life, the Lord Jesus Christ.
