On Sunday, Tabernacle of Faith Church of God in Christ had the honor and privilege of visiting the nursing home here in Pine Bluff to celebrate and honor the mothers for Mother’s Day. 💐❤️

What a blessing it was to share love, smiles, encouragement, and the love of Christ with some amazing women who have paved the way for generations. Moments like these remind us that ministry is not only inside the four walls of the church, but also in serving and loving our community.

Special shout-out to Missionary Deborah Goodwin, Sis. Stacy, Sis. Gloria, Bro. Ty, Malasia and little Miss Lele, for giving your time, showing God’s love, and honoring the Lord through service and compassion. Your kindness and servant hearts truly made a difference today!

With heavy hearts, yet strong faith in God, we pause to honor and celebrate the lives of Deacon Isaac Robinson & Mother Joann Robinson, two pillars, two servants, two hearts that beat for God and His people.

They were more than members… they were family. Faithful. Consistent. Loving. The kind of people you could always count on. Whether it was serving in the house of God, encouraging someone in a hard season, or simply showing up with a smile and a spirit of humility, Deacon Isaac and Mother Joann lived a life that reflected Christ daily.

Their love story, their commitment to each other, and their dedication to the Kingdom leave behind a legacy that cannot be erased. Seeds have been planted through their lives that will continue to grow for generations to come. As their pastor, I am grateful for their faithfulness, their prayers, and their unwavering support. Heaven has gained two faithful servants, but Earth has been forever changed because they were here.

Today, we pause as we honor the life of a true Mother in Zion, Mother Vernice Dotson. Mother Dotson was not just a member of Tabernacle of Faith COGIC; she was a spiritual pillar, a prayer warrior, and a living testimony of what it means to walk faithfully with God. Her life reflected grace, strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to the Lord and His people.

There are some people whose presence brings comfort the moment they enter a room. Mother Dotson was one of those rare souls. Her smile was warm, her words were seasoned with wisdom, and her prayers carried power. She loved God deeply, and she loved God’s people even more.

A Mother in Zion is more than a title; it is a calling. It is the sacred responsibility of nurturing the church, encouraging the broken, guiding the young, and covering the house of God in prayer. Mother Dotson carried that mantle with dignity, humility, and faithfulness.

The Word of God reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV):
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

Mother Dotson fought the good fight.
She ran her race with faith.
She stood strong through every season of life with God as her anchor.

Heaven has welcomed home a faithful servant. While our hearts mourn her absence, we rejoice knowing that she now rests in the eternal presence of the Lord she loved and served so faithfully.

Her legacy will live on in every prayer she prayed, every life she touched, every word of wisdom she shared, and every soul she encouraged along the way.

The Tabernacle of Faith COGIC family will forever be grateful for the gift that was Mother Vernice Dotson. Her life reminds us that true greatness is not found in titles or recognition, but in a life fully surrendered to God.

Well done, Mother Dotson.
