The Regular Arkansas Missionary Baptist Convention, along with the Young People’s Convention, will convene June 14–18, 2026, at New St. Hurricane Baptist Church, located at 3319 South Ohio Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where Reverend Derrick Easter serves as pastor.

This convention promises to be a blessed time of worship, fellowship, inspiration, and spiritual growth for all who attend.

The Spirit was truly in the house today at First Missionary Baptist Church! As we gathered on this First Sunday and Communion Sunday, we were blessed to worship together, reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, and celebrate His goodness through the Lord’s Supper.

Pastor Joshua X. Pickett preached from Matthew 9:35-38, delivering a timely message entitled, “The Need Beyond the Need.” He reminded us that while people may have visible needs, there are often deeper spiritual needs that only Christ can meet. As Jesus looked upon the multitudes with compassion, we were challenged to see others through His eyes and to answer the call to labor in His harvest.

We thank God for the spirit-filled worship, heartfelt fellowship, and powerful Word that was shared today. May we carry the message of compassion, service, and love with us throughout the week as we seek to be workers in God’s harvest.

To God be the glory for all He has done!

What a wonderful blessing to witness Sister Fannie Mae Carter’s commitment to following Jesus Christ.

Today was a special and meaningful day at First Missionary Baptist Church as we witnessed the baptism of Brother Anthony Smith. We thank God for this important step in his faith journey and celebrate his public profession of faith in Jesus Christ.

We also congratulate our church members who successfully completed their New Member Orientation and received their certificates. We proudly welcome these new members into the fellowship of First Missionary Baptist Church and are excited to walk alongside them as they grow in faith, service, and discipleship.

We thank God for these public expressions of faith and commitment to Christ. It is always a blessing to witness lives being transformed by God’s grace and strengthened through fellowship with the body of believers.

TaLisha, your church family is overjoyed to stand with you, pray for you, and walk alongside you as you begin this incredible next chapter of your faith journey. Heaven is rejoicing, and so are we!

📖 Message Reflection: "Are You Walking Alone?"
Pastor Pickett | Amos 3:3
Today, Pastor Pickett brought a powerful message from Amos 3:3: “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" He challenged us to look closely at who is leading our steps and reminded us that walking with God requires total alignment with His will. What a perfect confirmation for Sis. TaLisha's step of faith today. She reminds us all that when we walk with Christ and our church family, we never have to walk alone.

Let us keep Sis. TaLisha and the entire FMBC family lifted in prayer this week as we strive to walk in perfect agreement with God!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing mothers of First Missionary Baptist Church!

Today we celebrate your love, sacrifice, wisdom, and strength. You are truly the light of our lives, so it was only fitting that each mother received a candle from Bath & Body Works as a small reminder of the warmth and light you bring into your homes, families, and our church family.

We were blessed by Pastor Pickett’s powerful message, “When Mama Steps In,” from John 2:1-5 NKJV. Just as Mary stepped in with faith and confidence, mothers continue to step in every day with prayer, guidance, compassion, and love.

What a glorious and spirit-filled day at First Missionary Baptist Church as we celebrated the Pastoral Installation of Reverend Joshua X. Pickett! 🙌🏽

From a powerful 11:00 AM worship experience with Reverend Damien Reese, Sr., to an uplifting and anointed 3:00 PM service led by Reverend Dr. Earl M. Graham, the entire day was a beautiful move of God from beginning to end.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all program participants, guest speakers, musicians, leaders, members, and supporters who helped make this sacred occasion so memorable. Your prayers, presence, and service made this day extraordinary.

Today, First Missionary Baptist Church joyfully welcomes Reverend Joshua X. Pickett as our pastor, and we also warmly welcome his wife, Lady Symone Pickett, as we celebrate this new season of leadership with great expectation for what God is going to do.
