Happy Feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary! 👑🤍
On August 22, the Church celebrates Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. This feast reminds us that, because Mary is the Mother of Christ the King, she shares in His glory and reigns not with power or distance, but with a mother’s loving care for all God’s children. May we ask for her intercession and strive to follow her example of faith, humility, and obedience to God.
Holy Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, pray for us! 🙏

Today we celebrate St. Maximilian Kolbe, a Franciscan priest, missionary, and martyr of charity. He founded the Militia of the Immaculata and spent his life bringing others closer to Christ through a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In 1941, while imprisoned at Auschwitz, Kolbe offered his life in place of another prisoner who had been condemned to death. Through his final act of love and self-sacrifice, he gave a powerful witness to the words of Christ: “No one has greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for his friends.” (John 15:13)

Hoy celebramos a San Maximiliano Kolbe, sacerdote franciscano, misionero y mártir de la caridad. 🕊️ Fundó la Milicia de la Inmaculada y dedicó su vida a acercar a los demás a Cristo mediante una profunda devoción a la Santísima Virgen María.

En 1941, mientras estaba prisionero en Auschwitz, Kolbe ofreció su vida a cambio de la de otro prisionero que había sido condenado a muerte. Con este último acto de amor y sacrificio, dio un poderoso testimonio de las palabras de Cristo: “Nadie tiene amor más grande que el que da la vida por sus amigos.” (Juan 15:13)

Topics include: Faith Formation Transition, a New Church, Stewardship. Your input is vital and valued. Join us on Sunday, August 9, 11am-12pm in the Parish Center for our Parish Townhall Meeting.
