Grace Point Church of the Nazarene

Grace Point Church of the Nazarene Grace Point Church of the Nazarene information and activities. The Church of the Nazarene provides us with moral, spiritual and financial accountability.

Our local church belongs to an international network and fellowship of churches known as the Church of the Nazarene. This enables us to support a global mission that is sharing the good news of Jesus through compassionate ministries, schools, hospitals and churches with missionaries in over 170 countries. Founded at this exact spot in 1908, the Church of the Nazarene identifies with the humble roo

ts of Jesus who came from the small and insignificant town of Nazareth in Israel and his mission to spread the message of hope through holiness (Christ-like living) across the lands. The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church. We believe God offers everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life and the promise of heaven through a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere. The Church of the Nazarene describes itself historically and theologically as a Christian, Protestant and Evangelical church that has been shaped by the practical theology of John Wesley in the 1700’s and the Holiness movement that swept our nation in the early 1900’s. As a a holiness church, we believe that Christians can experience a deeper level of life in which there is victory over sin, power to witness and serve, and a richer fellowship with God, all through the infilling of the Holy Spirit. All of these influences shape our beliefs today and we share much in common with our Christian brothers and sisters from other churches and denominations. "No man can be a good American unless he is a good citizen. No man is a good citizen unless he so acts as to show that he actually uses the Ten Commandments, and translates the Golden Rule into his life conduct."

"Any boy is worth nothing if he has not got , courage to stand up against the forces of evil, and courage to stand up in the right path. Let him be unselfish and gentle, as well as strong and brave."

"The man who counts, and the boy who counts, are the man and boy who steadily endeavor to buildup, to improve, to better living conditions everywhere and all about them. The same qualities that mean success or failure to the nation as a whole, mean success or failure in men and boys individually."
