Another successful church picnic in the books!

We are so grateful for everyone who helped set up, serve, clean up, donate, and simply show up to support our parish. It truly takes a community, and we are blessed to have such an amazing one.

Today, Fr. Greg blessed our school buildings and classrooms as we begin another school year! We are grateful for this special blessing and pray that our school will be filled with faith, learning, laughter, and joy throughout the year.

And sometimes… old buildings need a little extra blessing! Be sure to check out the last picture! Don't worry, everything will be back in order for the picnic on Saturday.

Welcoming Fr. Greg Oligschlaeger as Vicar for Priests!

Bishop Ralph B. O’Donnell has appointed Fr. Greg Oligschlaeger as the Diocese of Jefferson City’s new Vicar for Priests, effective July 1.

With more than 30 years of priestly ministry, experience as a pastor and former diocesan vocations director, Fr. Oligschlaeger brings a deep understanding of the joys and challenges priests experience in ministry.

In his new role, he will support, encourage, and advocate for priests throughout the diocese — while continuing to serve as pastor of Ss. Peter & Paul Parish in Boonville and St. Joseph Parish in Pilot Grove.

“I’m a priest working with other priests, and I know as a pastor the situations they encounter and the needs they have.”

His message extends to all of us: affirm your priests, pray for them, appreciate their ministry, and look for ways to serve the Church today.

“The ministry of the Church is happening right now, and we’re all called to be a part of it.”
