Happy Memorial Day from Liberty Free Will Baptist Church 🇺🇸

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country and the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

In Eastern Kentucky, Memorial Day is also a time when many of us remember family members and loved ones who have gone on before us. We visit cemeteries, place flowers, tell stories, laugh a little, cry a little, and thank God for the people who helped shape our lives.

Freedom is never free.

As Christians, we’re reminded of the greatest sacrifice ever made when Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross for the sins of the world. Because of Him, we have hope beyond the grave, peace in the middle of life’s storms, and the promise of eternal life for all who trust in Him.

John 15:13 (KJV)
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Today, may we be thankful for our nation, grateful for those who sacrificed, and most of all thankful for our Savior.

God bless our church families, God bless our community, and God bless America.

Crosswalk Saturday @ 11 am

This Saturday, April 4th at 11 AM, we invite you to join us for a special Crosswalk as we prepare our hearts for Easter weekend.

We will begin at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church and carry the cross to Pikeville City Park and back. It’s a time of reflection, unity, and lifting up the name of Jesus together.

Once we return, stick around and enjoy some fellowship with hotdogs, chips, water, and soft drinks. We’ll also have a gospel sing to celebrate what this season is all about.

Weather permitting, everything will be held outside, so bring a lawn chair and come ready to worship, fellowship, and be encouraged.
