We had such a great time being at Tuesday Night Worship at Huntingdon College last night! We were so glad to meet students and hear what God is doing in their lives. Worship was so powerful and we are grateful for students using their gifts and for Chaplain Rhett Butler's passion with leading young people on their journey with Christ!
We look forward to our next Lunch Bunch on September 13 with college students and young adults worshipping and then having lunch at Mellow Mushroom!

A correction to our newsletter: the brunch with Grace Episcopal Church & Gardens Mt. Meigs will be next Sunday at 9:00 a.m., not 11:30 a.m. Bring your favorite dish as we have some fellowship and good food together!

This past week, we learned the number rule for Methodists: "Do no harm." Join us this Sunday as we learn the second rule: "Do good!" Looking forward to seeing you at 10:30 a.m.!

We are looking forward to the fall! On Wednesday, September 2 we will have our first Prayer and Pizza which will be a joint healing service with prayer and worship in the Sanctuary at 5:30 p.m. followed by a fellowship dinner (pizza) in the Parish Hall at 6:00 p.m. This is open to all ages and will be a joint opportunity with Grace Episcopal Church. There is no cost; bring yourselves and your friends and family. Come join us!

Today was a great day in the house of the Lord at Pike Road UMC! We were delighted to see one of our founding members, Christopher Mackey, as he prepares to go to Vanderbilt University Divinity School as a Turner-Barnett Scholar this fall. Our clergy and lay leadership laid hands on him and the congregation prayed over him as he starts his journey in response to God's call on his life. We are so proud of Christopher and we are so grateful for how God calls all of us in different ways to serve the church and the world!
